This is actually an area I'm pretty optimistic about.

Male birth control: This could really level the playing field as far as unwanted pregnancies, abortion rights, child support, etc. Men could really use an easy, accessible way to control their reproductive destinies, as women presently enjoy in a number of forms. It would also make some of the MRA complaints irrelevant, and encourage more responsibility on the part of men when they do choose to make a child. Personally, I would show much less sympathy for a dude complaining about child support, alimony, and what have you, if he'd had the choice open to make himself childfree for as long as he pleased, and didn't take it.

Female viagra: I think this could solve many of the problems with so-called Alpha Fux Beta Bux, dead bedrooms, the stereotype of the denying frigid wife and the sex starved, rapey husband. I could see monogamy and low partner counts making a comeback thanks to this. I think there are people of both genders who pursue relationship after relationship because they start to rely on the "high" of a new relationship, emotionally and sexually. Drugs could solve this neatly. Hell with good enough drugs, the entire trap of instinctive, hindbrain-inspired attraction could be diverted and people bonded to each other using chemicals and some light brain washing.

Artifical womb: This would erode arguably the most powerful monopoly women have, which is the ability to make children. I think this is a somewhat dangerous technology though. China might become a race of all men in a dozen generations. Hyperbole, but I do think some serious unintended consequences might emerge from this. The dissolution of marriage, evolution of humans from straight, patriarchal creatures to creepy little cherubic orgy-having things like the Eloi in that book the Time Machine, stuff like that. Even so, the ability of a man to make children without necessarily having to give away half his resources, or acquire access to a woman's pussy, would be revolutionary. Men could truly feel free to go their own way and breed yet more generations of MGTOWs. It's interesting to think about it.

Afterthought: I suppose gays could also use this device for good.

Virtual reality: The porn applications of this are astounding. We have some actual workable VR goggles coming out in the form of Oculus Rift, Google Glass. Combine with a really good automated fleshlight, and I think we'll be reaching the point where the sheer stimulation of porn outweighs the human connection unique to sex. And in an MMO like environment with multiple people getting in on the electronic orgy, even that aspect might be duplicated. With cheap, free access to a moderately competitive sex substitute, I can see even more droves of neckbeards and fatties dropping out of life to pursue a rich online existence.

Human genetic modification: This I'm really excited about. Not just so we can develop superpowers like in Bioshock, but the social ramifications could be staggering. We could begin diversifying the human race for different tasks. Why inflict the madonna/whore complex on women, who sometimes do not neatly fit into either category, when we can engineer separate races of docile breeders on the one hand, and constantly horny sex puppets for our amusement on the other? Custom genetically tailored slaves, a eunuch beta/overlord Alpha dichotomy, many other things are possible here. I feel I'm trailing off into what BPers would mistake for self satire, so I'l leave this where it is for now.

Do you see possible solutions to today's gender/intersexual problems in possible future technologies? How do you think technology will effect sex, relationships going forward?
