I've never seen this discussed, but as a woman it's just much easier to get interest from men from a lower socioeconomic status. I'm pretty sure a richer woman could roll into a poor neighborhood and steal anyone's husband if she was so inclined. Men ARE hypergamous.

I had pretty much the richest parents in the schools I went to. The boys who had parents doing a similar job to my parents were super hard to talk to. The boys who had poor parents were extremely friendly to me and way more accepting. I'm not the prettiest, but I was accepted by the poorer kids just fine, they invited me to all their parties and I seemed to be appreciated there. When I got interest from guys it was from poorer guys and that's who I dated as well.

This continued later in life where men in my chosen profession didn't make moves on me, but whenever I met a poorer man he'd be into me, and so I kept dating poorer men. I did a lot of traveling and I didn't date everyone I met when traveling, but there it was so evident that if a local man was rich he'd see me as backpacking hippy trash far below the level of what registers with him, but if the man was poorer than me, he'd always be trying to sleep with me.

Now I know there's something to be said about the fact that I suck and that's why the people of my socioeconomic class didn't want to get with me. But why did the poorer men like me? They seemed to think I was pretty, nice, funny, kind, interesting, charismatic, which the men of my socioeconomic status could confirm is not true. So men are hypergamous.

You'll say rich men have a lot of options because of female hypergamy and that's why they don't need to be desperate and pushy like poor men, but the fact remains that these poor men were not willing to date fellow poor women. Poor men definitely like classy rich women.

Also since becoming poor I attract no men.
