BP is, in my head, a very feminine explanation that will boil down to trying to merge men and women on their similarities. Its usefulness is nearly zero as it's 'common sense'. And BP will work for people that have no problem in this area and not work for people that have a problem in this area.

RP will always be balked at because BP will say RP is factually incorrect. And we can discuss all those elements while having a lot of fun and feelz. However, what won't be disputed is that RP works; wrong or right. Moral or amoral.

I can't imagine RP gaining much more. They have a serious PR problem on their hands. And that vacuum will be filled by other 'purple pill' setups. Jordan Peterson being a clear example of this. And really, MRP and TRP sidebar stuff is all that's required. Participation in MRP and TRP is just tweaking your mindset for whatever reason.

Both subreddits are gaining popularity, if that's what you asking, but TRP just have been having an absurd growth rate since 2016. One of the greatest of the site, actually.

No. TBP is mostly surrounded by the feminist crowd, they see it, join, then get some feminist friends, that's it.

TRP is obviously way bigger, and getting bigger each day, if you consider users at least.

I'm actually quite surprised that RP is not more widespread considering the torrent of stories about resound success in getting laid.

Men are afraid of the backlash of understanding the world by what it is.

Do you really think someone would openly admit he knows women's flaws and problems without complete anonimity? would any men in their right mind say in public he is sleeping around because he has a anti-feminist understanding of the world and that women are flawed beings? such men have a social death wish.

Do you see the backlash serious and multimillionaire journals are having because they criticize a woman for being a bad loser in a tennis game? A normal man with no big money have no chance of ever sustaining this kind of backlash, so he does not even try. So they do like atheist did once upon a time. They hide their understanding of the world to not have their rights stolen and to not be socially executed.

Like them the TRP hide their understanding of women and the sexual market values, in almost complete silence, so that the SJWs and feminists do not steal their livelihoods or be socially executed. But if you consider there is almost complete lack of promotion from the red pill (except maybe the film) it have been growing quite well.

Most men are genuinely looking for a LTR.

The stories of "spinning plates" and "getting laid" is actually unattractive to most men. Most men view themselves as "not that kind of man", some out of genuine ethical principle and others simply because they can't have that so they prefer to interpret their inability as noble.

However, RP isn't just for guys who want to increase their attractiveness, increase their confidence with women, sleep with a lot of women and never want to commit. This is a small minority of RP participants from what I see.

There are more RP participants who can't get over the women that dumped them (or was never interested at all to begin with). RP is just trying to slap these men in the face to snap out of it. However, most men in this situation want to stay in their obsession, so again RP success is a turnoff.

RP is also for the man who wants to find a good LTR or marriage but can't get any interest at all, or does get interest but fears a bad marriage and divorce later (the examples of men in unhappy marriages or bitter divorce outweighs happily married men, so some men are picking up on this and hesitant to commit to the first women that shows interest / they get obsessed with). RP is simply saying there's competition out there as well as terrible choices out there. But again, most men don't want to accept this but want to believe that "there's a women out there who will love me for who I am (read: low ambition, porn addict, low-confidence, not-fit)" and want to believe the women who smiled at them in the subway is as in love with them as they are with her.

Then there's men in a LTR or marriage that isn't going so good (i.e. not frequent and good sex). Again, most men in this position want to believe that their women "should be attracted to them" and don't want to believe that they are either no longer attractive (maybe weren't attractive to begin with) or their women simply doesn't care about the relationship. In both cases, these men usually think "doing stuff for their women" should be compensated with sex. But it doesn't work and they get bitter. RP/MRP is simply saying "get more attractive", and what is attractive to the vast majority of women is "physical and mental strength and confidence" (not letting yourself go and being whipped), which if accepted and those issues worked on can simply fix the relationship in the first case.

In the second case, it allows you to be completely sure that you're not the problem (if you've really become the best you can be) and with increased confidence, mental strength and physical attractiveness provides a way to end the relationship, if you are otherwise too weak to do so, as well as to do so without being mentally destroyed, again if you're otherwise too weak to actually deal with a possessive, spiteful and/or vengeful women (and these factors plus practicing a bit of flirting give a man confidence he can and will have sex again, which is a big motivational factor to deal with divorce process).

In all these cases most men want to stay in denial. That's why it's called blue pill, they want to stay in their Hollywood delusions of how true love should somehow come to them out of the blue without working for it, or want to explain away relationship (i.e. sexual) problems as just a normal evolution of the relationship / libido and / or just be angry and bitter: and in both cases believe there's nothing they can do about it but moan and complain to others and be passive aggressive to their women.

It's gaining popularity for the same reasons the alt-right is gaining popularity. We're living in ugly, impoverished times threatening on war - when people are scared or insecure, they more often turn to conservativism. It has easier enemies to point fingers at. Just look for whoever doesn't look or act like you and label them "inferior" and "detrimental to society".

In this case, AWALT is an easier excuse than "I'm not a very good catch."

True BP users burn out. The blues here are more red than much of Reddit. The majority of PPD is varying shades of purple arguing with reds.

It's also extremely unlikely that normies will be on Reddit often, let alone an extremely niche debate sub. So PPD is a terrible sample set for Reddit at large or humans at large.
