It's true that rape is not nearly as common as many feminists think. Department of justice puts it at 1 to 1.5 cases reported a year per 1,000 people over 12 years of age (citation). However,

that women's lives are ruined is farce. It may cause temporary inconvenience if it happens, but no females are having their entire lives ruined from a little bit of unwanted sex alone

Rape can be extremely traumatizing to survivors. It often has devastating affects on the victim.

Rape is not. Sexual assault is probably more common than it should be, but only in certain crowds. The unwanted touching is usually in public schools, and in places where the opportunity and lack of consequences meet.

The amount of false rape accusations is shockingly high, because it's rarely prosecuted. DAs aren't going to go for it, because the public outcry would damage their reputation for prosecuting a "rape victim", and there is a perception in jurisprudence that punishing people for "reporting rape" could deter real victims from coming forward. They won't even prosecute, or hardly ever prosecute, women who have successfully lied, but later recant their testimony years after a man has been put in prison.

Pretty much every myth feminists have brought forward has been debunked, but people want to believe it, so it remains within their echo chambers.
