He’s not perfect but he’s perfect for me. I’ve been with him more than a third of my life. I don’t even know what life looks like without him. He’s my best friend, my partner in crime and the love of my life. The father of my kid. The one who holds me together and tells me to grow up when I need to hear it. He’d lay down his life for his family and I’d do the same for him. He’s a genuinely good person. Smart, makes me laugh, fucks like a champ and puts his heart into everything he does.

I think I said before he’s temp laid off right now. It’s entirely possible his company is gonna go under while they’re all “on leave without pay.” I’m so proud of how he’s handling this, just staying grounded like we’re just gonna deal with this like we’ve dealt with everything else. Making us nice dinners every night and helping jr with school. He’s even started laughing instead of rolling his eyes when I read him some incel posts.

I am so grateful that my partner is still with me, and looks like he’ll be ok. At the end of last year, we found out he had a large brain aneurysm. Right before the corona outbreak took off, he had his brain surgery and had a stroke the next day. It’s been a couple of months, and I’m so happy to have him with us. I think people who see me in my day to day life don’t get why I’m so cheerful with all this stress with his brain issues. It’s because before the surgery, he could have dropped dead at any minute. That was stressful. Taking away that ticking time bomb is like being given a second chance. Even though it’s a lot of hard work at the moment, the kids get to keep their dad and I get to keep him.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re single or partnered. It’s up to YOU, every day, to make a choice to be happy; to choose to do what makes you happy, and to learn to be happy with what life throws at you.

I admire his love of art and interest in science that he is never tired of sharing. The way he looks, speaks and touches me that makes me feel loved and wanted. His ability to self-reflect and be open about his feelings and worries with me. His sense of humor and the need to help others.

I do little things for him day to day like making him dalgona coffee, baking his favourite buns or just take care of our cats' fur as it makes him sneeze badly if he does it.

My fiance is the best man I've ever met. He is sweet and kind, tells me and shows everyday how much he loves me. Never screams at me, never shows disrespect, always supports me. He loves animals and takes care of them. Even though we've been together for couple of years now, our relationship is only better, not worse.

The very best thing about my relationship is that we don't have to ACT. We've known each other for 2/3 of our lives, seen each other through really good and really bad shit as friends.

When we finally got together after many years of mutual pining and several failed relationships, there was no mystery, no uncertainty, no apprehension and no fear. He's my best friend in the universe and I couldn't possibly be happier.

He makes me feel treasured and safe. He’s my rock and I can’t imagine life without him. He’s the only person I can be around constantly without getting annoyed.
