There are lots of ugly truths about men. For the most part, society is willing to admit them, so AMALT isn't especially controversial. When your boyfriend stares at some chick's ass, or whatever, he's most definitely AMALTing.

It's not an excuse - you should never put up with bad behavior. And it's not an indictment - you shouldn't judge an individual for the crimes of his group. It's a post-hoc explanation. It's a way of categorizing behaviors. "Why did he do that asshole thing that he did?" - because men are like that. Lots of people (men and women) are assholes, but men are assholes in different ways than women.

And if you want to date men, you'd be wise to guard yourself against those bad behaviors.

How did you think this thread was going to go? It's so sad that blue pillers consistently come in here and "challenge" TRPers to criticize men - blissfully unaware that we are more than happy to do so. And what points do we get for showing that we can criticize men as a group? None. You'll probably leave this subreddit and within a few hours there'll be another blue piller here saying, "oh yeah, well what about the menz!"

In TRP, we talk about women not because men are perfect, but because we don't date men. It's really not a big deal.

Yes, AMALT. One of the differences between AWALT and AMALT is that society at large is well aware about AMALT. We teach our children about it, girls and boys. For example, for girls: "he just wants you for sex". Or, "don't put out so fast, because he will lose respect for you." And for boys, we admonish them to be gentlemen.

AMALT -- men have a dual mating strategy. There are girls men just fuck, and there are girls good enough to marry. Girls are warned about this. Men are discouraged from engaging in it.

AWALT -- women also have a dual mating strategy. There are men by whom women want to get pregnant, and there are men whose resources women want to benefit from. Except for a few lucky women, these are often not the same men. Yet, society does not teach men about it. "Do not marry her, because she does not really love you, and as soon as she gives birth to [a/your] child, she'll start rationing sex for favours and treat you like an ATM machine" is usually not an advice a young man receives. They are instead told things like "happy wife, happy life." And girls are rarely admonished for settling.

That's just one example of AMALT vs AWALT, out of many. That fact that society at large is unwilling to talk about it, and /r/theredpill is, is what makes /r/theredpill so useful.

If AWALT means that all women display behaviours associated with women, to some degree or another ... Then AMALT is the exact same.

On that basis, of course all men are AMALT (or at least that's a productive way of assessing men in the SMP).

I'd regard AWALT/AMALT applied as a blanket rule as good heuristics for the SMP. a good basic guide.

Where men and women are on their respective AWALT/AMALT male/female behaviour curves and how that should be accommodated in strategy within the SMP, is also a good advanced guide.

So, yes .... AMALT... Is there anything in particular you want to discuss here ?

AWALT=female nature, AMALT=male nature. TRP doesnt discuss AMALT because they aren't trying to understand men to bang and LTR them

AMALT isn't some unspeakable aspect of modern society (like AWALT certainly is). Everyone admits to AMALT (with the exception of male feminists with low sex drives, and men feigning sensitivity as a tactic to appease feminists).

Most people believe that men care primarily about sexual gratification. AMALT. Thus, women teach their daughters: "Boys only care about one thing."

Do we teach boys that girls only care about your social status (looks and social circle), utility (what you can do for her), and power (money)?

No. We spread lies about how women love you for you, and you should do everything to make her happy at the expense of your own contentment.

People believe sayings like "happy wife, happy life," when that isn't necessarily true. A "wife" is totally happy living on alimony payments for the rest of her life.

TRP is about exposing AWALT to the brainwashed masses.

It may be more appropriate to say APALT. AWALT seems to only be a big revelation to men who put women up on a pedestal and considered them to be different in an unrealistically good way. Like goddesses that would come down from high and take away their problems like a MPDG, and then take over mom's role in caring for them, to boot. Plenty of women also grow up thinking that the right man will also rescue them, rather than realizing that they should be rescuing themselves and each other, but the difference there is that they're thinking the right man, not just a man, because they experience plenty of examples of the wrong man not fulfilling their ideals or just mistreating them. So AMALT is a revelation to fewer of them.

AWALTers sometimes replace their idealization of women with an idealization of men. We're better than those women who disappointed us, and we're all brothers who support each other! So they're replacing one fantasy with another. This is where they're going wrong, by not realizing that all people are (and should be) primarily self-interested.

Therefore, APALT.

In my personal opinion AMALT is less helpful than AWALT.

It's a result of emasculation.

Men either fall prey to it or they don't.

This creates a bigger divide between a non-emasculated man and a traditionally masculine man than the differences you'd find between woman A and woman B.

I am not denying that there are real differences in how woman A and woman B (if we consciously choose women who are very different from each other) will react to situations, between their standards, their needs, their morals and so on.

But the differences between man A and man B (again if we choose two from the opposite sides of the masculine spectrum) will be much bigger, making AMALT less helpful than AWALT.

The red pill is not advice geared towards men.. If you want conversations on men's faults the target audience is twox, ask women, relationships, Cosmo, most of the media, etc..
