Do this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ut9OICIaxyA with dollar tree planter stacks. If they are out, you can go on their website and order a case of 36 for $36 + shipping/handling + tax. So maybe like $40.

Center stake them (need to drill your own holes into them) into a larger pot at the bottom to catch the water drippings and hold the stake in place. You can use PVC as the stake, too maybe using rocks to be a ballast to keep the tube weighted down at the bottom. Keep the drip trays off (they pop off) so it drains down to the lower trays better.

You'll end up with a mini vertical garden that hold 3 per level, so a 12 stack can hold 36 plants per tower. 3 towers (from the case of 36) you can have over 100. You can plant some leafy greens, herbs. I don't recommend any heavy plants like tomatoes on it.

The bottom support pot can have beets, radish, onions.

Also, you'll want to use some fish emulsion fertilizer with that high density planting to keep the plants happy and healthy.

You can also do soil-less medium and just run a recirculating pump, and use the bottom base as a reservoir instead of a planter base.
