I was in the navy for 4 years, this is fucked for a variety of reasons.

1 this is generally some officer wife shit, enlisted wives aren't usually this entitled

2 he's a fucking SECOND CLASS(e5). in the navy, you ain't shit till you hit first class(e6). As a third class(e4), I definitely told some 2nd classes to fuck off without issue more than a few times. *

3 as a fucking second class, being called by her husband's rank ain't gonna get her SHIIIIT. It's not a rank that generally comes with any real authority.

4 the obvious: YOU ARENT A SECOND CLASS, YOU ARENT IN THE MILITARY

(*For those in other branches: the navy mentality is a bit different regarding enlisted ranks. An e5 barking orders in the navy would be like an e3 or e4 barking orders in some other branches; you just don't have any bite behind your bark yet. )

(* In the situations I told e5s to fuck off it was warranted lmao, I wasnt just being a shit bag. If you had been there you would agree it was the right move, trust me)

For those not in the know, this rank is for the US Navy and is an enlisted rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class. Note, this person is not an officer, but a Petty (non-commissioned) officer and is generally someone who can be seen as an assistant manager. This rank usually manages a "squad" or about 10 -15 people, depending on the military job (MOS). They have usually been in around 4 - 8 years which means they are usually around 22-26 years old.

I point this out because it would be like someone asking for a discount at McDonalds because their husband is the Assistant Manager.

As a vet, this shit is insane. This is called stolen valor, even if it is her husband. She didn't earn that rank. She didn't endure the training or earn the respect associated with it. All she did was date the guy who did put in the work. And frankly, that's not hard to do. Some of us spend MONTHS without human contact due to the nature of our job. Any ounce of affection we get when we get back is well received until we get our heads back on straight.

To be perfectly blunt, if this.woman tried to get in my face because her husband is my CO, I would laugh in her face and walk away. And if he tried to dress me down for it later, I would pull chain. Straight up the chain of command, for lack of bearing and unprofessional conduct unbecoming of an officer, and I would request a change of command.
