Have you tried a fat fast yet? I had a lot of success with it and did a bit of research...I can dig up the articles I looked at again if you are interested. :0)

The gist is: you'll see a lot of people warn that you shouldn't do a fat fast for more than 3 days - the truth is you can do it for much longer (up to 10 if I remember correctly, but that is pushing it). I did a fat fast for 6 or 7 days.

Obviously one of the most important things is to hit the ratios and also pay attention to your body. Some people react poorly to fat fasts (just as some people react poorly when they try to switch to keto). I ended up losing 8+ pounds, though, as expected, I gained 3 or so back during the week after I ended the fast.

You can do 1 big meal or eat 3-4 smaller snacks throughout the day. I started out doing multiple snacks, but had a much easier time once I switched to a bigger meal (probably because I do IF so it felt similar to my normal routine). Macadamia nuts are a good investment. I figured out my meals prior to starting the fast so I could stock up on what I needed. I tried the cream cheese/salmon combo - but the proportions were too screwy for me and I had a really hard time with that as a snack. I stuck to yolk-less omelettes with some other ingredients.

There are meal plans and menus that you can find online as well, which I found particularly helpful. I didn't experience any fatigue during the fast, and I was able to maintain my normal routine (including workouts) without a problem. I only do body weight exercises or use (at most) 5lbs hand weights - so if you do heavier lifting, your results may be very different.

I have not done a fat fast before however, when I did keto last time I dropped 20 lbs really quickly. I had a lot of energy and was generally happy with how I looked. When I want to do is get back into eating in a healthy manner. When I start with trying one thing and then modifying it, I just don't respond well to it. So I wanna just hop right back into keto and then when I start to stall (which happens at ~20 lbs for me) I'll look into the fat fast. For now, my diet is shit. My weight is shit. My habits are shit (I mean look at the recipe I posted in the original comment hahhaha ahem... anyways). But for right now the stuff I have in my house is just NOT keto friendly. I don't think I have any veggies I can chow on. Heavy planning on my part is necessary cause I always hamster my way back to carbs. So My meal planning game needs to step up. Which I have got down pat!

Guys don't like conversation. We don't use it to get a handle on our thoughts, we don't use it to vent frustration, build comradare or comfort. We generally go internal, alone with our thoughts.

A day is generally a constant stream of the world asking from you. boss, wife, children, strangers, customers. You'll have a bunch of problems in your head, all at various stages of conclusion, and sometimes, a nights rest, or alone time with your thoughts is whats required, let the grey matter do it's magic. Then epiphany!

Maybe it's stress, you're not sure why you have this anxiety right now, you go through it in your head, realize it's stupid, and get over it e.g.

This is why I find most men like quiet alone time. Not always quiet either. Sometimes it's mindless activity, sports, video games, staring at the wall. IT's a zen thing, where you focus on something that lets your frontal lobe stay busy, and let the lizard brain do all the underlying stuff without distraction.

It's also why the man cave is such a perversion. Generally the place a man can go in his own house (as a prison) where she can keep an eye on him. A fortress of solitude is the place he can get away from the world, de stress, and otherwise get control of his inner self.

And I think Bill burr said it best. Best moment of his relationship, he was in the garage, the girlfriend came in, gave him a sandwich, and just left.

And you kind of know this already. Little sayings, absense makes the heart grow fonder, give him a chance to miss you. etc.
