Hi everyone, I (F23) am newly married to a great man (M25). The married life has been great so far, but I do feel like it's different and hard because of coronavirus right now. My husband works from home and I am in college, but taking classes from home as well so we see each other almost all day, every day. Additionally, my husband's work goes through busy and slow seasons. Right now they are in a slow season so there's not much work to do. I say all this to provide relevant details for the situation. My judgmental attitude is coming from the fact that my husband sleeps in pretty late. He will sleep until 10am on weekdays, sometimes longer. His work starts at 9, but since it is a slow season many of his coworkers don't sign on until later anyways. However, I can't help but feel disgust when he sleeps so late. Even if he's not required to be to work on time, why is he so lazy? I also probably acquired a "holier than thou" attitude because I get up at 5:30am to go to the gym and shower and get ready before my classes start at 9. He hasn't been to the gym since lockdown in March. I am just at a loss for what to do because when I get home at 8 from the gym and he is still sleeping it just makes me so angry. And when I start classes at 9 and he is still sleeping it makes me want to scream at him to get up. I haven't actually screamed at him so I guess that's good, but there will be times I will wake him up and tell him what time it is. We got in a bad habit where I was waking him up every day until I told him I couldn't do it anymore and he should set an alarm instead. However, he often doesn't set an alarm or sets it for 9 and turns it off and goes back to bed. I've tried to just ignore it and not wake him up, but sometimes I just can't resist because it gets on my nerves that he sleeps so late and is missing work.

To provide some additional background, his current job is one that he dislikes. He's been working there for about a year, but he plans to go to law school this coming summer, which is what he is really passionate about. I say this to provide context that I think the main reason he is so lazy is because he has no motivation to do well at this job because he knows he will be gone soon plus he doesn't like the work. I guess if I was in his situation I wouldn't want to get up early for a job I hate either. But I guess I expect him to find other motivations, like going to the gym or reading the Bible or some other kind of hobby. He used to get up early to go to the gym before work, so I know he's capable of it, but that was over a year ago.

I haven't addressed this issue with him because to me it seems very petty. Plus I don't want to be controlling- his sleep schedule is his business, not mine. However, I can't shake the feelings of disgust and disrespect and bitterness I get when he sleeps so late.

Please advise me, what should I do to cope with my feelings?
