I think you need to reevaluate what your relationship means to you. There’s nothing wrong wanting a certain lifestyle, but I think if you value money and status over emotional connection, then this likely isn’t the right person for you.

If you genuinely can’t see yourself with this guy, tell him the truth. You will save your time and his.

And lastly, you should probably fund at least part of your lifestyle by yourself. It’s not like we’re in the past where women were shunned out of most professions and weren’t allowed to open bank accounts by themselves. You mentioned that you’re in grad school, which is great. Depending on the industry, you could increase your earning potential.

I think you need to compromise on your expectations. You’re probably not ever going to date a billionaire’s son ever again. But you could still date a very good provider. It really all comes down to what you truly want.

Why can't you work to earn those things? If you have champagne tastes and your sole means of funding them is a man, then yes, that would make you the definition of gold digger. However, you mention you're in grad school. If it's for something that could potentially fund that lifestyle and you want him to contribute equally, then no. You're still narrowing the pool, though.

Full text: I’m dating this guy and he’s amazing but I feel like the things I want in the future could become a financial burden for him (spacious houses, trips abroad, spontaneous flights, etc.) and I’m scared to fall in love with him because what if he isn’t able to provide for these things but he insists and that makes him broke??

I’ve dated billionaire’s sons before and he isn’t one, so my standards are extremely high and I feel so bad about even thinking like this. I feel like such a horrible person for even considering his financial status because he doesn’t have control over it yet.. (we’re in grad school) What should I do? Please help

I married well and girl let me tell you. You can never go back with lifestyle

No. I would pick someone that can support you now. Don’t fall in love with the potential. It doesn’t make you a gold digger - it makes realistic of the lifestyle you want.

Many will disagree, but as a woman there are sooo many broke men / men who can’t provide. It’s important to make sure you find a good provider.

Majority of men cannot give you this lifestyle.
