I've seen there are a few discussions about that, but links to pictures are broken in many cases and it's no longer clear what people are talking about.

What do you wear everyday at university or work? What do you wear on special occasions such as parties, evenings/nights with friends, birthdays etc?

I've read men like some sort of makeup no makeup, do you know good youtube channels about that? Many makeup gurus I find online are all about gross stuff, and I have a feeling that women are no longer wearing makeup to look attractive, but only to compete with each other on who is better at it/can afford the most expensive products. Also here in r/makeupaddiction there are some looks that remind more of a clown than an attractive lady (however, many of them have a SO, so maybe I'm wrong).

Can we discuss which type of makeup makes you look attractive but not gross, especially when it comes to:

  • eyeliner: I'd like to learn how to put it on because my eyes look inexpressive, I'd like to make them look a bit sexier. However, I've read men don't like it so being single (and looking) I'm kind of afraid and don't know what to do.

  • eyeshadow: same as above.

  • lipstick: I usually wear it only to go out at evenings/nights, and always red (rarely a nude-pink). I'd like to wear it daily to look more attractive but I'm not sure if that's appropriate and which colours to choose.

  • blush: I avoid bright colours such as fluo pink and fuchsia; I prefer peachy and reddish-brown colours and I try to blend it on carefully but I guess I could learn to do it better.

I totally avoid contouring, highlighters and bronzers because I'm really pale as a ghost and I think that products look gross on me, am I doing something wrong?

For what concerns foundation and concealer, I always have them on because of acne.

Also, what's your idea about nails? Better colours, lenght and gel or traditional polish?
