My SO likes for me to dres provocatively when I'm with him. Of course, he wouldn't want me doing this without him (and I don't) but when it comes to us going out to a bar together, or to a party together, he'd be disappointed if I wore anything that wasn't tight.

Generally if I try to wear a loose top or a belted dress that isn't tight around the hips, he'll say my outfit is "OK" but he "likes other things better." I always want to look my best for him, so this usually means wearing whatever he want me to wear. And THAT usually just means skin-tight jeggings, maybe a crop top or tight seamless top, you get the picture...lol.

I generally don't mind the looks I get from other people when I dress this way, because I'm obviously holding his hand and I'm with him. I don't leave his side.

But I notice sometimes that after telling me to wear something provocative, he'll get annoyed or upset about the reactions I'm provoking. He'll tell me to wear something sexy, then some guy will shout out "Nice ass!" from his car, and my SO will say something like "I'm throwing away those pants the second we get home!" (jokingly)

Also, sometimes he will dub certain clothes too sexy but other similar outfits are fine- for example a short dress, even if its not that tight, is too sexy for him, but skintight pants and a crop top is fine!

I wonder, psychologically, why he feels this way and does this? If he doesn't want other guys looking at me, why does he ask me to dress this way? I don't mind dressing provocatively OR modestly- both are fine by me- but I just wish I understood his reasons.

He has said in the past that even if I look sexy in something, he doesn't want "the whole world" looking at me. But then why does he tell me that my more modest clothes are "boring" when I try wearing something that doesn't show my butt off?

ANY input is helpful lol. I'm happy to dress more modestly for him, but he doesn't seem to like it.
