Hey! So in a nutshell, my boyfriend and I have been together for three years. We got together at 16 and now we are nearly 20. This last year has been tough because he moved away for university and long distance is so difficult to maintain but we love each other so we made it work. Lately however, he expressed he thinks we should break up come the next semester but spend this summer together whilst he is home. This cut me so deep. I’ve always wanted a traditional relationship but I wasn’t aware of how much until over this past year - I’m becoming a woman! I have grown so much more in touch with my femininity but he’s never seemed to value this. That’s a separate issue but as we grow up it is starting to dawn on me more especially with his recent suggestion. I don’t want this time limit on our relationship but I also think he’s right in that we can spend this summer together. I do love him. He is my soulmate, personality wise, but our values have just drifted apart. Will this make it harder if/when we do break up?
