Ask for his advice and then actually use it. That is a big one because he will see you putting his advice into action and that will make him feel damn good and respected.

Don't interrupt him when he's speaking (ESPECIALLY if he takes a long time to reply - give him time!)
If you get in his way, apologize and get out of his way
Offer to get him something while you are up
Do not move his things without asking him where he wants them
Especially do not move his things in order to put your things in their place
Ask his permission/check in with him before doing something that might affect him
Ask for his opinion on how to solve a problem at work, and then compliment for his insight
If someone disagrees with him in public, take his side
Tell him something you specifically respect about him ("I really respect how calm and collected you are, even when your coworkers are being awful")
NEVER make fun of him in front of people (possible exception being if it's obviously a compliment; ie., if you tease your husband about being an amazing cook in front of the family and "putting you out of business" or something like that)

Don’t dismiss what he says he wants to do even if, in your mind you are freaking out. I have been amazed at how just trusting him even when, what he says strikes terror in me(lol) has turned out so well. A lot of his “crazy” ideas have actually become amazing. Had I dismissed them I would have missed out on intimacy with him, and the opportunity for me to enjoy what he does for us.

Don’t contradict him. If you ask him his opinion and he says “A”, then you’re like well what about “B”? Don’t you think “B” would work better? See the disrespect in this?

Overall don’t be bossy and trust him. Men NEED respect. Women need to be loved. Men can’t properly love and cherish us when they are suffocating from lack of respect.

I dont need to have the last word. I state my opinion when asked without arguing. I know when to shut my mouth. I keep "roomate" complaints to myself and see the big picture. I dont nit pick. He orders for me at restaurants, I speak to him, not the waiter. Same if other men are around us. I speak through him. I trust him to make good decisions. I go above and beyond without needing to be asked. I do not argue when he has complaints about me. I listen.
