Hi RPW! My boyfriend and I are celebrating our first Valentine’s Day together and he has let me know he is planning a nice, romantic evening for us. I don’t know exactly where we are going as it is a surprise but I do know I have to dress up. I picked a very lovely red dress that came in the mail today and tried it on. It’s very beautiful but since I am a very busty woman, (DDD or F cup territory) they’re on FULL display. For reference, here is the dress: https://www.windsorstore.com/products/kindra-high-slit-mermaid-halter-dress-050028924060?variant=42523546058803

The models have much smaller chests so they have a lot more coverage than I do. I sent my man pictures of me in it and although he liked it, he mentioned that it’s pretty revealing solely in the chest area. He could tell I really liked it and was okay with me wearing it but said it’s an exception because it’s Valentine’s day and that it’d be a no-go to wear if I was out without him. I let him know that if he’s uncomfortable with me wearing it, I’d find a more appropriate dress. He appreciated that I’d choose another dress so I went ahead and picker another beautiful red dress that’s less revealing. I was a tad bit disappointed since I did like the dress but ultimately okay because I do agree that it’s a little much.

In our modern society, his input is seen as controlling/insecure and I am sure if I posted this in any other sub any comments I’d get would be “Leave him!!!!” Understanding that, it does make me second guess if a wardrobe change is healthy based upon his opinion. I’m curious from a RPW perspective, is this a yellow/red flag? Do you perceive his statements as controlling? I should note that I do not feel he is controlling in really any aspect of our relationship. I go out to the bar with my friends several times a month which he doesn’t have an issue with. I don’t dress modestly tbh or too revealing and he’s never commented negatively on what I wear.
