I can't help but feel that the woman, Megan, in this story was a piece of shit and not worthy of being LTR status in the first place. Any woman who I would want to get into an LTR with definitely wouldn't be willing to meet men for free lunches during the week. It was a good representation of a beta orbiter, maybe a little over embellishment but still a good tale.

I'll check in with a little orbiter story action. I've noticed my current gf has a few orbiters that seem to pop in and lurk around her Facebook from time to time. One dude (let's call him Adam) she works with stands out in particular. Adam is in his early 40's, has been divorced once, and has the standard "nice guy" mantra about him. Poor guy gets oneitis for every girl he hooks up with, and lives a pretty lonely existence.

He's a writer, albeit in his spare time now, and always brags about the one time he met and had lunch with Dr. Dre to discuss a screenplay of his. He writes blog posts primarily but will include stories about "Anna," a cute vampire librarian (seriously cringing as I type this) who seemingly resembles her and will share them on her FB wall so she can read them. It'd be cute if it weren't so... sickeningly beta.

The three of us go out for drinks one night, and we're trying to encourage him to find a girl to take home to no luck. He spends most of the time blathering and describing his last date as a "sexual deviant" which is not what he wants. I'm not stupid and I know he has extreme hots for my gf since she is a 9/10, especially with her glasses on. I chuckled to myself since he must think my girl is the "good girl" like she appears at the office or in his little library fantasies. Little does he know she is, in fact, what he would describe as a sexual deviant.

That fact aside, it doesn't stop him from trying to take her out for lunches (mind you, he works in a different office 25 mins away), or go out with her after work, or even try to convince her to go see movies with her. She never obliges, yet this thirsty dude doesn't get the hint. Some guys just don't get it...

Literally the funniest thing I read. Orbiters remind me of the obsessive servants from years ago. Even the term "m'lady" was used by peasants to refer to a woman of noble birth. Did Dave have a neckbeard or wear a fedora?

No issues with the story - I can't relate to Dave anyway. Take megan for what she is, a cunt, doesn't take away the fact that Dave was a moron and doesn't even have loyalty himself or has his priorities straightened out. Did Dave deserve it? He had it coming. He shouldve learned better on the first instance but a second, with the same woman?

i think your story was meant to make me feel pity for Dave, but instead of made me feel that megan was/is a complete cunt.

seems like Dave made out OK, got married. even if it was to a less then decent looking chick, he still found a partner.

You have 2 women in your story and they're both named Megan. And you don't distinguish them in any other way.
