Positives: Gone to the gym consistently this month, at least 3+ times a week lifting heavy

Severely cut back drinking, eating healthier

Began developing my app that I’ve had the idea forever, fucking LTR was destroying my time management

I coach HS track and had my group of sprinters do 3x pushups to failure, and when they're limbs where shaky I told them to go knock out 50 more at their own pace.

I learned this by reading about Navy Seal David Goggins and his 40% rule which states when your body tells you you're done, you're only really 40% done.

I left them alone and trusted they finished the workout. I don't know if they really did, but I let them know afterward that I purposely gave them something that would involve them putting their mind over their bodies, and that if they were honest in pushing themselves and finishing a difficult task that it will set the tone for not only their season, but their lives.

Now, after practice, the school gym is completely empty, so I decided to practice what I preach. I hit the pull-up bar and did 3x to failure. Then over the next 2 hours I did 100 more at my own pace. When I finished the last reps (I was doing about 1-3 reps per set, and sometimes 4-7 if I was resting a bit more in-between) I can't tell you the sense of elation I felt.

Suffice to say, today I am a trembling mess. I can barely touch my own head and my whole body feels balky. On top of this, after my workout I found out from my father than my mother, who has been in a medically-induced coma for the past week to fight an unknown illness that seems similar to pneumonia, had suffered several small strokes while in the coma.

Today, and life, is a battle. Much of life is suffering. There are short-lived peaks and long-lasting valleys. Navigating these valleys is the key to becoming the person you want to be. I can't control lots of things, but I can control the pace at which I climb out of the valleys and continue the path to the top of the mountain.

No matter how red you are, you're always a little (or a lot) blue, too. And that's not a bad thing. You learn from these moments. This is an ongoing, life-long pursuit of becoming the best version of yourself.

For all my comrades struggling, trembling, feeling weak, know that even the most macho motherfuckers out there are dealing with shit they won't ever speak about.

Stand tall soldiers. Your frame dictates your reality. Battle the dragon every damn day but don't forget to let yourself feel the emotions of tough situations. Grapple with yourself and the things you can't control. Face them, look 'em dead in the eye and let them know that at the end of the day, you're bigger than your problems.

Onward we march.

Hey guys, first post here after lurking forever.

I'd been slacking on hitting the gym for a while after a minor injury. I guess I figured I was "red enough" after bulking 25 lbs and becoming more social over the past 2 years. I noticed myself starting to slide back to my former beta ways.

I made up my mind this week to start taking cold showers again and I instantly started getting my shit together. Cold showers, 10 min of yoga + nofap is a life changer. I got back to the gym twice this week to ease back into things with lighter weights. I'll be increasing my lifts by 10 lbs instead of 5 until I get close to my limit. Diet has been good, I'm taking my supplements and getting to sleep at a good time. I was a hero at work this week too since I fixed the billing software the day before billing. I feel pretty good right now.

Consistent cold showers, 3 full weeks into 5x5, I tried Boxing for the first time and it was fucking fantastic. All this was done by me, for me. And I couldn't be prouder. I still have so much I need to work on, but I know I will succeed.

The first time going to the gym and holding yourself responsible for your actions is the hardest, yet most liberating, thing you can do for yourself.

After a bad gym accident and unsuccessful back surgery (got 2 steel rods holding my spine together), in August doc said he was ordering a wheelchair. Fuck that. Back at the gym on August 24th after a 2 year off...hit 232lbs (up from 188), topped out all of the machines WITH my 4 inch resistance band, testing out a new anabolic protocol, and inclines are back at 245 for reps (short of my personal of 365, but the stability is still not there).

been following the program to a tee. every workout is great, especially today's workout
no injuries no pains.
Absolutely loving myself and my body when I look in the mirror. thats a great feeling, especially because I'm bulking. shredding season is going to be EPIC.

School 8.3/10

2 Exams. been a long week.
Have been studying for those 2 exams so I have been putting in a lot of work. which is why I give the rating an 8/10
eh, one decent grade. hoped for better but Im over it really. it was one of those small things I overlooked and it royally fucked me up the ass.

Social 9/10

Monday was fucking awesome, felt dope and all that, made everyone laugh. Friday was also alright.
Been debating if I should write the different IOIs I have received and post them here: just for myself to reflect and learn from. seems a little douchey though.
one social situation I wasn't talkative but I wonder if I really wanted to be. a) I don't want to fuck either of girls in the situation b) I was trying to work on a school project (they were kind of distracting) c) they were talking about boring stuff IMO.

but then again I found myself a little jealous when the girls laughed with one of the guys. like I said, I don't even care about those girls, why am I jealous?.

This girl one who was with her boyfriend (or what looked like her boyfriend) totally checked me out the gym. I know that's a pathetic thing to be proud of but it actually really felt awesome for my fragile little ego. Like her BF was right there but clearly I was way stronger, taller and more muscular and aesthetic so I saw her sideways glances from the gym mirror -this is literally shit I couldn't even have imagined 2-3 years ago before I started lifting. LIFT BOYZ, seriously.

Other goals 9.5/10

Personal project #3, made a lot of progress, in fact Im nearly done already.
Been quite interested in art recently, different art styles. especially like "photo mosaic", seriously, search it up.
also looked at wallpapers and dream "battlestations", reddit is great for inspiration, honestly
Sleep, seriously wtf. I'm tired as all hell in the morning and when I come home from school but I can't sleep for the life me at night. that's so fucking frustrating.

Finally started dating again after beating depression. Been to the gym for the past year or so, and have been putting myself out there for a few weeks now. Boy, is it nice to get attention from women, especially after having read no more mr nice guy, and the art of seduction. I'm in control.

First post here, long time reader but not a practicer of TRP. Last Friday, after Thanksgiving, I weighed myself and was at an all time high. I'm only 18, I shouldn't be a fat fuck, I should be in my prime. Decided that morning to immediately change my lifestyle after months of thinking about it.

Positives:

This week I lifted every other day, walked/jogged at least 4 miles a day, cut my calorie intake to 1500 a day, stuck to eating lean protein and other healthy foods, and cut out all junk foods and snacking.

I quit drinking alcohol completely, and changed my sleep schedule so I sleep from 10-6 instead of staying up all night and waking up whenever I want.

Began reading and studying a variety of topics, dedicating at least two hours a day to become more educated beyond school.

Negatives:

Still haven't completely moved past my high school relationship and I'm still struggling to put myself out there socially.

I'm still wasting time that I could be using on self improvement with video games and shows. I need to work on my electronic habits and laziness.

It's been exactly one week since I started this and I'm already down 10 pounds, physically feeling better than I have in a long time, mentally feeling sharper and more confident, and I feel like I have a strong set of goals and purpose in my life for once. I'm completely dedicating myself to self improvement from this point onward, and I'm posting here to hold myself accountable if I begin to falter at some point.

I have begun preparing small, really small,daily exercises for myself after it sank that adopting the shit preached on this sub wasn't gonna come quick 'n easy. For the past week I've been attempting just to speak louder and have my voice literally shake the room, even if it makes others uncomfortable.

Positives: Been murdering the gym, up to 15 pullups at a time at 5'8 215.

Fasting more, eating protien salads for lunch all week. Drinking plenty of water.

Went to my weekly small group for young men at my church. This is my meditation, also gives me weekly practice to watch bp men.

negatives: Drank 2 nights this week, not much but still need to take a break from that.

Honestly I've been in monk so long, i think it has now become my comfort zone. I need to push myself back into female interaction. I see them staring i just need to approach now.

Havent been cutting as fast as i want, need to step it up. Will begin 20 hour fasts next week.

Edit: and i did bust out of a button down shirt by sitting down at a table and bringing my arms up. That felt good.

Have been hitting the gym pretty hard over the last two months. Never did this before in my life so I'm weak as hell and trying hard to change that. Only missed once so far because of thanksgiving goings on. This week I increased weights on just about every exercise, finally got my bench over 100, squats so close at 95,lat pulldowns to 115... well a bunch of low numbered crap but feels great to be bumping triple digits for the first time. Hopefully I'll gain some visible size over the next several months, then will try to cut and show some abs this Summer... hoping and working towards that anyway, we'll see!

Started lifting and making it a goal to make it a habit to do some sort of workout each and everyday. Also trying to get into the habit of eating three meals a day and put on some healthy weight and help improve muscle building. I'm a skinny fuck, but I will change that.

Also been working on maintaining eye contact and smiling at girls I make eye contact with. It's not much, but it's opening my eyes to how many girls are really out there. Next step is to approach, but first I need to start getting out more.

Signed up to the gym last week and have been 3x so far (my first time ever stepping into a gym in my life).

Negatives

Been going to bed too late recently, my sleeping pattern is messed up.
Been watching too much porn...
Haven't been pursuing my hobby at all recently.
Haven't been drinking nearly enough water as I should be.

My focus for the coming week

Fixing my sleeping pattern. More sleep = Waking up early = More time to get things done.
Continue to go to the gym and aim for 3x a week.
Keep myself accountable on the weekly progress thread.
Journal my gym improvements, sleeping patterns and positive/negative interactions so I can analyse what I need to do to improve.

School and socializing have been going well. A minor fork in the road or two, still a quiz and a test I have no idea how I did on but we will see. No matter what happens it's not the end

Improved relationships with friends, happy about the progress in my classes so far. Had a talk with one of my teachers who seems very odd but he's smarter than he looks. We talked about general life lessons and he surprisingly agreed on all my points, even the ones that were TRP so that was a nice surprise. He's smarter than he looks and has earned my respect

Wanted to try something bold on the bus yesterday next to this girl where I'd be direct as hell and see how it went and as I was transferring seats someone random took the seat next to her and I was bummed out. I decided to workout again and really hard to make up for the lack of progress in approach. Always next time

Can't complain, I'm relatively happy with the way things are going although always room for improvement

Oh and matched on Tinder with a girl a year older. Started off with her asking if she should pick me up from my school and I made a joke of that. Hasn't responded in around 3 days but a) her loss b) I built up rapport and charm which is always essential for the next encounter. Need to work on saying more in less words during messages

positives - signed up for local gym and dieting on 2000 calories for new low of 221 at 6' 3", even after thanksgiving feast. Sore after doing a circuit of 3 * 15 reps on a dozen + of the weight machines, tried to do a lighter load just to get form done well but still need to take a break yesterday to rest the muscles that previously weren't isolated with body weight exercises. Aiming to go there 3 days a week and might take a break from my daily workouts while feeling sore from heavy lifting at work and gym to let muscles recover. Bad news is that all my pants are too loose so time to check out any fashion tips.

Job search wise got a call from a company I failed the interview previously with for a long distance position that just opened up that seems a better fit for me, so trying to psych myself and research for that one to not be as nervous and maintain better eye contact / body language. Relocation isn't an issue for me but will need to do a soft reset socially with cliche. still working at family business in the meantime.

Negatives - Didn't get too many chances to branch out socially or cold approach anyone due to family travel. Need to just hang out at the local bar and practice my pool game again. goal for next week is to do that and strike up conversations with dozen + people,

Haven't lost any strength on big lifts. Transitioned to keto 6days/week so I don't have to count Cals. Doing really well in finals so far, much better than I've been doing. Med school is a doozy. Also I feel good that I'm not letting girl bullshit affect my schoolwork.

Main girl has started getting her act together after I spent the night with another girl. Still thinking about ending it since I think she talked shit about me to a mutual friend and that's unacceptable.

Girl 2 is either the most convincing BPD or the nicest girl I've ever met. Probably helps that I fuck the shit out of her multiple times a day and fill the hole (haha) left by her father.

I'm on steroids so gym gains going not so slow and steady.

Work is fine. I am on top of most things and my pay review is coming up. If I don't get a raise I should respectfully ask them for a good reference and look for another job.

Socially is a bit weird. Friends wanted to go out but my gf who lives an hour away always wants my time. Not really going to do anything about it right now

Successes: I got my GPA in check, and cut off contact with an old oneitis. Working on recovering from sickness, 80% better than last week. Shock from parents recent divorce is wearing off. Kept myself looking and smelling respectable, and updated my closet.

Steps closer to goals: Read a lot more this week, started to investigate meditation, attempted to make conversation with a few guys I want to become friends with, it was pitiful. I am starting to drift from my old beta group of friends, but I don’t know how to get a solid group to help with popularity and actually going out and doing stuff. Tried to put myself in places where I can get shit tested to improve. I read up on body signals, but doesn’t matter if I can identify those or not, as I have no Charisma.

Failures: Got off to porn, didn’t start lifting like I planned to, got nothing done on my Eagle Scout Project. Still a fucking social retard. Didn’t hangout with at least one friend this week outside of school, and most of my frindships have turned into me saying hi in the halls and not knowing how to make a conversation. Still haven’t achieved end goal on being invited to a hs party. Have done none of my hobbies and minimal reading this week.

I’m still not someone I would want to hang out with, but nobody said getting my shit together is gonna be easy.

i'm 17 in my senior year of high school.

finally got to the point where everybody is looking me in my eyes anywhere i go. everybody moves themselves out of my way except the other guys who think they are the shit.

my teammate captains on the baseball team don't try to help me anymore, they just give a dirty look and act like they're way better instead of trying to be friends.

i have found it easier to talk to people and don't talk at all about myself, i'm just learning about everyone.

still haven't grown a pair to approach a female for some reason but if they sit next to me i can make easy conversation, it's just those aren't the girls i'm trying to fuck..

i'm on a steady incline and it feels fucking awesome.
