"No, I don't do commitment. Cheating is too tempting."

Good for sleazebag game/one night stands/rapid escalation. Implies pre-selection.

[–]bgny 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I like to answer "Only a couple."

[–]1Sapienti_Sat 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

"You remind me of my wife with such questions.."

"No..girl and friend don´t go well together.."

"No..I have a wife though..does that count?"

"No, it would be unfair to my wife.."

"Why does EVERY girl have to ask me this.."

"I used to have a few until the wife found me out.."

"Only if I have nothing better to do.."

[–]kempff 9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Not to steal your thunder, but:

"No..girl and friend don´t go well together.."

"No..girls and friends are like women's basketball. I like them both, but not together."

[–]1Sapienti_Sat 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

This is an actual improvement to the answer.. I like it..

[–]fruitofmyloom 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Men would like it, women wouldn't get it.

[–]1Sapienti_Sat 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Women don´t like thinking too much in those situations..true..comebacks should be sharp, short and sweet..

[–]fruitofmyloom -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly.

[–]kempff 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I can't take the credit for it; I found it somewhere in the manosphere the other day.

[–]Senior ContributorSkorchZang 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Why does EVERY girl have to ask me this.."

Epic, bring the outrage back home.

[–]1wall-of-meth -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Those answers are pure gold!

Amused mastery/aloof responses and giving away preselection information.

[–]jolly--roger 6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

just agree & amplify: “Six, actually – but I’m willing to make an extra spot in my harem just for you.”

[–]draketton 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Bit wordy for my taste. Try "You asking to be part of my harem?"

[–]Blood89 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Actually the same line I use. Love it.

[–]Carbone -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This work great. From where a lot of us are coming it sound weird to say it but it's the first drop that create dread game. They want to be the number 1 and if they need to act like a whore with you they will.

I used it on a girl in a relationship, Found out she's really good at deep throat .

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"I don't have a girlfriend, but I know a few girls that would be really pissed off if they heard me say that". (Mitch Hedburg)

My go-to is, "A girlfriend?" (smirk) "nope".

[–]Nieben 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Oh, you think you have what it takes?"

I liked this one guy's response I had seen a while back.

"No, I don't have one but there would be a couple of girls that would be pissed if they heard me say that."

When she's all dazed by that, you hit with "so, wanna feel my neckbeard?", and you're definitely getting laid.

You're not ugly but a little beef on your bones will go a long way.

I'd suggest you start off playing some weekly competitive sports with strangers. They'll make you feel manly enough to start some resistance based exercise (weights or calisthenics). After a while, you won't even care and in a year from now, you'll cringe when you read that post instead of identifying with it.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Agreed, though I think I'll skip straight to the weightlifting.

As for your last sentence, I highly doubt it, but thank you for the advice.

[–]fruitofmyloom 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

No. Don't skip the competitive sports. The point is to get some camaraderie going with other men.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

...fuck, honestly I have too much social anxiety for sports at this current moment in time. I'm trying to take small steps like daily exercise, limiting escapism (drugs or video games), getting enough sleep before work, studying, etc. I do group PT every Wednesday where we play Ultimate Frisbee but I don't really like it. I'll look into tennis on this base though. Thank you for your advice, I don't want to make it seem like I'm not following through on your recommendation, it's just these things are really hard for me (as my original comment described, I have pretty intense depression.)

[–]dullyouth 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sports will make you anxious but it is a HUGE confidence builder. HUGE. I just started my softball league, and it was intimidating the first weeks but now I effing love it and feel like a rockstar after every doubleheader.

[–]fruitofmyloom -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You're doing the right thing taking one day at a time. Now, take a week at a time.

You need to play something like basketball or hockey. Something that gets you into aggressive competition. Anything where women can't also play (do women play the UF weekly game? If so, it's for faggots).

You don't need to be social to play these sports. Just play your best and the rest honestly takes care of itself.

[–]Ferinex 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

you look alright but you're making a weird face. just smile. (or look stoic).

[–]RPsixthree 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You shouldn't dwell on that for too long. It took me a while, but you will accept it one day and you will feel much better

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I accept it already.

[–]RPsixthree 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

very good

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

tl;dl

[–]Wolfwoodd 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's not a shit-test exactly.. It's more of an indicator of interest. That being said, there's no really wrong answer as long as you don't act guilty/weird about the answer.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I always have room for one more. Why, are you applying for the job?

[–]Unconaction 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nice, or modify it slightly "woah there- job hasn't even been posted yet" add on "it's temp to perm". Still figuring out some good ones.

Quoting Jay-Z: " I got 99 problems..."

[–]SoccerGuy420 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes I have a girlfriend, and she's awesome.

[–]yaknowhat 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ive learned that in an LTR you gotta be a mix of alpha and a little beta. Anybody have any insight?

[–]IIHotelYorba 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'd tell them I did even if I didn't. Or that I'm poly and have a boyfriend AND a girlfriend. Or I'd just be like "nah." Or I wouldn't answer. It doesn't fucking matter dude. Tell them literally whatever you feel like. If you want to say something that's funny to you, do it. If you want to blow it off, do it.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nope. (Big ole grin)

[–]XCowboyLowkesx 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Something like that"

"It's complicated"

"More or less"

[–]euneaux -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"Why? Are you applying for such a position?"

[+]Scymnus -7 points-6 points-5 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

"No, I was in a 3 year long relationship but we just weren't right for each other". Tells them you're single, high enough value for someone to want and that you've had some sack training.

This would be better suited for /r/asktrp by the way.

[–]fruitofmyloom 10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Man, you haven't learned anything by being here have you.

[–]Scymnus 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't you think that's quite a broad statement to make based on a single post I made?

This line has worked quite well for me in the past, but then again I'm young enough for 3-year relationships to be somewhat uncommon.
