Social cuckoldry has been going on in the states for ages as well. Hell, back in the 80's when hair bands were a thing, girls would have access to the band's tour bus, and their boyfriends would wait outside while the girls "got autographs" - which was basically them getting fucked in the bus.

A good comedian must be part philosopher and part entertainer. Beyond slapstick humor the only way to keep an audiences attention is through creating tension, without a good understanding of societies philosophical undercurrents they wouldn't be able to keep people involved with their act
