Pictures go first, pictures are king. Tinder is visual. I’ll repeat this. TINDER IS VISUAL.

+90% of the time people swipe without looking further than the first picture. If this picture isn’t okay your others won’t be seen, neither will your description be. If you want this to work you’ll need to have some good pictures, period. Now don’t get me wrong. You don’t have to look like a model and you don’t need professional pictures (both help though). You just need decent pics in high quality that display you in a good way.

Tinder picture tips:

All pics should be of high quality. A good Iphone picture or better. Ask somebody else to take your pictures, selfies usually aren’t good. Always ask feedback from others when choosing pictures. (If you can afford it a photo shoot might be worth it. You’ll have good pictures which are always nice, reusable on other platforms and they will definitely improve your Tinder and online game.)

Please try to show some positive emotion. Look like a happy and satisfied human being.

Your first picture should clearly show your face and shouldn’t contain other people. If she has to guess who you are she’ll assume you’re the ugliest person in the picture.

Find your good angle. Everybody has a better angle. Take some selfies and find out yours. Try a straight shot and then one from 4 angles in front of you (left-up, left down, right up…). Ask some different opinions on this. You only have to do this once, it’s well worth your time. If you go for that photo shoot ask the photographer what your angle is.

After your first picture include 3 or more others. I suggest one or more by yourself. One or two with another buddy and one bigger group photo. Including friends shows her that you have them. Pictures that show cool activities or a nice part of your lifestyle are a win too. Things like working out, being in front of an audience, holding a microphone, wearing a cool suit or costume and so on spark curiosity. Just don’t come over too serious or try hard.

If you’re in awesome shape you can include your body in your pics. Just make it look like it’s a random picture somebody took. No bathroom selfies, even with a six-pack. If you have a cute pet you can also include it. Remember though, if it's your first pic make sure your face is clearly visible. The same goes with nice possessions. Just don’t look like you’re bragging. An innocent smile can often times dismantle arrogance.

Keep pictures congruent with your age and personality. A gaming night with friends on a dusty old sofa is okay when you’re 18, not when you’re 40. And the more your pictures convey the real you the better you’ll connect with the women you’ll meet.

Last tip, if you’re not sure about a picture leave it out. Get a better one. Two good pictures are better than two good ones and two bad ones. Good or gone.

Biggest Tinder picture mistakes:

Low quality or straight up bad pictures.

Not showing your face clearly, especially the first picture.

Taking a group picture as your first one.

Overly goofy pictures. Laughing can be good, but girls don’t want to see the inside of your throat.

Pictures where you’re dirty, overly tired, injured (yes I’ve seen guys use these) or where you look bored and so on.

Pictures with other women. This doesn’t help, even if it’s your sister. They can only do harm so keep those for Facebook. It’s okay in a bigger group setting of course.

These picture tips will get you further than 90% of most guys on Tinder.

Enjoy!
