Then be satisfied with being at the mercy of life's whims all the time. You'll get thrown around, you'll fall into depression from time to time; in general, you'll be leading a very unstable and therefore miserable existence. If the ultimate goal of your evolutionary hard-wiring is to bring you in a stable, survivable situation, then that is the pinnacle of content. Giving up half way and choosing to be satisfied with whatever crosses your path isn't romantic, it isn't somehow beautiful or sensitive. It's a form of self-adulation through self-pity. Worse yet, it's the outcome of a state of cognitive dissonance which you've resolved by just giving up and changing your ideas. "Ah, I wasn't cut out to do this anyways!" Unfortunately for you, nobody has sympathy for pushovers except for other pushovers who feel threatened by everybody with even the slightest bit of grip on his life. And pushovers make for bad company.
I am an individual, not a statistic.
As opposed to the "statistic" of redpillers? We're a minority, and have historically always been a minority. By letting your life be decided by other people all the time, you hardly have the right to call yourself an individual. The only individual thing about you will be your hardship, and it'll be a lot harder to swallow once you've let yourself slip into weakness.
Love matters so much more to me than sex.
Good for you. How is that against being RP? See, there's a lot of talk about sexual strategy around here because that is the point of this sub. But don't forget that this place has slowly changed to accommodate a microcosm of backgrounds, ideas and lifestyles - all centered around RedPill tenets. Be a passionate lover for all I care, you certainly aren't the first redpill man to do that. But remember to be a man while doing that, remember to not let yourself down.
The point is not to pretend you're alpha. There isn't "one archetypal alpha" which we should all emulate. There are traits and characteristics which are very much alpha, and we should strive to be like that. Be a nature-loving hippie. Funnily enough, some famous hippie musicians from the 60's were incredibly redpill in their day-to-day life.
And you know. You were here once, so you'll be back. The next time somebody fucks you over because you're sensitive and at the bottom of social hierarchy, you'll probably remember this place. You might not be tempted to go back just yet, but you'll be in pain sooner or later - and that's nature's way of incentivizing you to change something about yourself.

I had in fact given up and given in to the common perception that this is a world in which we must compete to survive and had lost all joy for living. Now that I have lost that delusion, real joy and stability have returned.
You are currently in an emotionally-fueled state of willful delusion because you think you just saw the light. You didn't. You are in fact so wrong that there's an entire science to disprove your claim that this isn't a world in which we must compete. It is very much a world in which we have to compete to come out on top, and that's precisely what got us here. That's the whole point behind evolution and survival. When you apply for a job, you compete. When you want somebody to love you, you often have to compete with others, albeit less obviously. Everything and anything is competition.
No one is insulated from life's whims when they find themselves in things and situations and accomplishments. It is the illusion of stability that makes you truly vulnerable.
Again, very delusional idea. Nobody is completely "insulated"; the point is to get your life together successfully even when things don't go the way you've planned. Some people lose years of their life struggling with the downfalls of their existence, something which could have been avoided altogether. I, as well as many people on this sub are a living proof of this. Life is precious, and so is time.
TRP guys spinning plates... That is a perfect analogy! Who wants to spin plates for their whole life? Sounds nerve wracking!!!!
Pardon me? Spinning plates your whole life? I've very, very rarely seen that being advocated on here (if ever). I sure wouldn't want to be spinning plates at 50. You seem to be completely misinformed about TRP.
Stop trying to shape your life based on a sort of step by step guide of the RedPill. Nobody on here is truly alike; you shouldn't be trying so hard to copy some kind of rule-book. Allow yourself to be inspired by this place, and soon you'll find that you've subconsciously adopted many of the alpha traits that we talk about on here. It seems to me like you fundamentally don't understand that.
[–]brotherjustincrowe 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That first paragraph was key, read it again. By giving into a fatalistic worldview, you're compromising the only thing in the world that is truly yours: moral agency. It's the equivalent of drilling a hole in your skull and checking in to the nuthouse. But then if you were a rational agent to begin with, the thought of giving up your agency would never occur to you in the first place.
What will you do if you come to the conclusion that fate/dharma/God/whatever isn't real and there really isn't a reason why things happen? The only "destiny" is the one you make for yourself, consequent to your actions, determined by you and you alone, for which you are wholly responsible? It's a frightening thought, but what if you keep coming back to that conclusion?

"Love matters more to me then sex"
This is probably one if those guys the women post about on r/sex who won't fuck cuz they think they're defiling them lol
[–]WeCantHaveFun 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's hard having it all. There's nowhere else to go but down.
I've found that having it all is best enjoyed by swimming in filth, a Sean/Patrick Bateman way of spending free time.
Try to chisel whores below prices they would otherwise accept. Turn down normal girls who want to fuck after they diddle me a little. Try to impregnate women married to men of my race. Make the lower middle class think that I'll invest in their shitty, going nowhere businesses.
It's the little things.
[–]1AreYouAware_ 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Is there a reason you had to come here to say that instead of just keeping it to yourself and going about your life on your own terms?
This isn't a debate sub.
[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Why post this then? It's not a debate until someone disagrees...
[–]Granny_Whisperer 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think you may have misunderstood what TRP actually is. It's not pretending to be macho fantastico and chasing tail all day erry day. Sure you can do that and TRP gives you useful tools for that but that's just something you choose to do.
Think about it like this: You wouldn't dig a hole because you got a new shovel but because you need to bury a dead hooker.
[–]smokingmonkey420 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
You're quite lucky to live in America where you can spoil yourself and indulge in such ridiculous notions. In other times, or other countries, you likely wouldn't make it.

Until you can get people to recognize their base instincts and desires, then that's all you've got - Imagination.
Ironically, that's what TRP is attempting to do. Yet, we are vilified for it. If people won't accept what we have to say, then they will just have to learn the hard way.

[–]moodymela 7 points8 points9 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
You realize loyalty is a concept entirely invented and propagated by men to ensure that they were the biological fathers of children. Every strand of a woman's DNA is screams out against loyalty. If you meet a woman who truly values loyalty all that means is she has been indoctrinated (probably religiously) thoroughly enough that the psychological values have temporarily overridden the biological values.
[–]Lapidarist 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No it isn't. Why do you think women are so incredibly appalled by seemingly stupid and trivial things like "slut-shaming"? Things that you really shouldn't care about too much. Why do you think 70% of all divorces are initiated by women? Why do you think only 40% of all men in history fertilized a whopping 80% of all women?[1],[2],[3],[4],[5] Those are all scientific studies that quite convincingly demonstrate the things I just talked about.
Women and men have profoundly different concepts of loyalty. Like /u/moodymela said: to men, loyalty is important because it ensures the survival of their genes through offspring which they'll know is theirs. To women however, loyalty really isn't as useful. If being loyal means you'll be having the baby of a less genetically competent man (the historical 60%), then loyalty isn't quite as desirable. After all, the woman is the one who'll be carrying a child inside of her for 9 months - a very vulnerable situation that strains her survival chances. So if she's going to be pregnant, it better be worth it.
[–]edwardhwhite 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
the way to keep them loyal is by your behavior. RP behavior. That's the point.

It's funny that you came here to say you TRP isn't for you. Why wouldn't you just, not?
Every person in the world is unique through their experience, thoughts, personality, etc. so I don't think you are unique at all. A lot of guys are in the same situation as you.
If you are trying to say that TRP can't benefit you, then you are just another user on Reddit who doesn't understand TRP.
How can something that promotes self improvement for yourself not be beneficial to everyone?
You may not need the sexual strategy being promoted here, but does it hurt you to understand why and how the opposite sex operates?
These are but a few points, there are more. If you don't need TRP, then unsubscribe and leave you will not be missed.

It sounds like you'd be better off applying the theories here in day to day life rather than for sexual conquest.
You're here to live how you want. TRP just sets the parameters.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
Yes, each individual is different, but only to a point.
I think your first stumbling block is the use of generalizations in this sub. They serve for brevity's sake and really no other reason. There are so many variables to each individual that any generalization is wrong.
Except that we do have sameness. We're all the same species, we respond to many of the same things on an evolutionary level. Men and women are all human, but in some ways are different. Men are all wired the same. Women are too. The wiring of the two groups are somewhat different from each other, and this is where generalizations come in.
I'm with you. A lot of what's said in this sub is garbage. That doesn't change the fact it's garbage based in reality. The sexual tactics and strategy encouraged here are great for getting the shittiest type of woman. Get those girls and they will fuck you over. TRP will tell you to go do it again. That's not learning from failure, it's the definition of insanity.
You need to focus not on the girls and how to get them, but the very base of it, which you've already said you like. That will get your life in perspective and order. The problem with this sub is you have to wade through 99 pounds of shit to find one ounce of gold.
[–]TrainingTheBrain 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
This is a problem I see with way too many people.
Fuck self improvement. You are good enough as you are. Why stress out on becoming?!?!
Life isn't about being comfortable.
Comfort is what keeps you from getting that higher degree. Why make yourself study and take classes when you could sleep more?
Comfort is what prevents you from running and lifting weights. Why wake up early, feel sore, and keep pushing? So, instead of being able to keep up with your kids and grandkids, you become an individual who is immobile because of your weight and health ailments (Which are preventable through active living)
Comfort will keep you from surprising the one you love with spontaneous trips, being able to show you can protect them, getting winded when having sex because you're too weak to fuck for more than 10 minutes.
Comfort is what prevents you from improving your level of understanding of the world around you, making you more useful and appreciative of what's going on.
You're right, you could die tomorrow or 10 minutes from now. This reality is no excuse for living a weak comfortable life.
Edit: Spelling

TRP is based on not conforming to the feminized role men are being placed into. If you want to fill that role, then do so because nobody is going to stop you.
You say I mischaracterized you, but you wrote, "My whole point is this: Fuck self improvement. You are good enough as you are. Why stress out on becoming?!?! Try just being as you are. You could be dead tomorrow. Be fucking happy!"
I didn't make that shit up and I didn't say discomfort was the only path. You can go ahead and accept the mediocrity that comes from the attitude of "Fuck self-improvement".
I do not care at all and unfortunately your idea that
I am different! I am not normal!
Wreaks of someone who is insecure and trying to find their place in this world.

Dude, there is no Real Man as each and every scenario is different. Though, there are some universal truths that you seem to be avoiding.
Not giving your all in everything you do is unaceptable.
If you're a motivated dude who has his shit together, share the knowledge and educate others.
Continue to raise your standard. You reach a goal, make a new one.
Own who you are and know your strengths and work on your weaknesses.
Life is hard, find comfort in the discomfort of being a male in today's society.
I don't care if you're for or against TRP. It's a fucking subreddit that links to other quality blogs dedicated to improving the standard of all men. You need to find comfort in yourself and stop pretending you're ok with where you're at.
I looked at your posts on this thread and you need to do some serious reflecting and figure out what the fuck you want from this life and then go and get it.
[–]SeekingAlpha 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
How long have you been here? Your suggestion is EXACTLY what I have gleaned from TRP...you may be drawing divisions that are not there.
[–]SeekingAlpha 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You seem to be expressing sentiments common to many men as they work their way through TRP.
Sure, THE MAP IS NOT THE TERRITORY, but TRP sure provides a better map than most of us receive through parents/school/media.

[–]1greatest_mistake 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Lol. You're right. Being the best you can be in every facet of your life is a bad generalization. That's what TRP teaches. If everybody in the planet followed this advice, the world would be a much better place to live. How on earth is that not universally good advice?
[–]1greatest_mistake 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The only people that shy away from competition are people that are content living in moms basement, taking a bus, and being fat fucks. People don't compete because they have no self worth and don't have the will power to better themselves. You'll be the guy posting here in the future that doesn't know why your girl left you because you're such a nice guy and you did everything for her. I think you're wasting your time here.

So it goes.
OP opened his chakra to the Serpent (kundalini) and got what he was looking for..."happiness".

Then be happy with your beta traits.
TRP isn't for you. Hell, it's not for most people. If you aren't finding happiness, then don't do it. This place is for people who are unhappy being beta but they don't know why or how to fix it.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Or maybe it's because being a beta male invites disloyal women, disdainful men, and an overall "fuck you" from the world.
If you're happy as you are and you don't want to change, fine. But (and this is the important part, so listen) do not expect others to be okay with your mediocrity.
You have the right to live as you please, but you are not entitled to having people treat you as you please.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
There is a way of living where people may mistreat you, but you don't really notice or care.
If you can tolerate it, good for you. It doesn't get you any closer to where you want to be unless you want to be a doormat.
Generally if you can get your approach to life to be friendly, life will be friendly back to you.
That's bullshit. The universe isn't some grand karmic cycle. You get what you earn and you write your own book. Happy happy feelings don't do shit.
It's only when you get into the mental state of perceiving life as a struggle that it becomes difficult or life's difficulties overwhelm you.
Life is a struggle, and those who don't think it is have already lost.
It's amazing what happens when you partner with life itself.
I can tell that's working out for you really well. Tell me about your girlfriend. Oh.
Ever hear of Taoism? Going with the flow is the way to get the most out of life.
No, taking action is the way to get the most out of life. Hobos and vagrants go with the flow.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You most definitely have swallowed "the pill". But it was the one that marketers gave you.
Fuck you. You're an excuse making baby beta - when someone tells you (rightly) that you're in charge of your own life, you assume that they've bought into some form of marketing
You came here with your womanly bitching, you soggy cunt.
Want to be exactly what you are at this moment. That is the only essential skill in happiness.
And yet here you are, crying about how you're unhappy. Enjoy your life of mediocrity.
Achievement can never make you happy.
No matter what you achieve it will never be enough if you don't learn to be completely happy NOW.
Take your excuses and prance over to twoX where this shit is embraced.
Now fuck off.

[–]BetaRecovery 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Hey. TRP is probably not for everyone. And that's OK. However, the vast majority of men who come here need it. Kudos to you for embracing your uniqueness.
[–]edasabva 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Part of being an alpha, in my opinion, is doing what you want. What makes you comfortable.
Seems like whenever I see "But I just want to be myself!" it translates to "But I just want to get away with laziness!"
[–]moodymela 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
So much bullshit to unpack in one post.
Just because you don't like a certain truth does not mean you get to be immune from the potency of that truth. Sure you can choose not to compete and forfeit the competition because of competition anxiety but that still means you lose. If you're happy with that's fine. Live the life you want to live.
I hate the conflation between being sensitive and being beta. I also love nature and beautiful things. I play guitar and I write poetry and prose. None of these things make you beta. Being beta is an attitude of complacency.
You may be okay with a a woman bringing home the bacon, and I believe many men actually wouldn't mind. The problem is that women are NOT okay with bringing home the bacon. They will view you as inferior for it their natural hypergamy will kick in.
Life is the way it is. If you want to find an alternative lifestyle and find a girl that wants a beta cuckold I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard.
[–]Senior ContributorDemonspawn 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Maybe the vast majority but NOT ALL!!!
Ok.. so that type of woman is, say, one in a million.
What do you have to offer that one in a million woman over and above other guys?
[–]Senior ContributorDemonspawn 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
She can get cuddles from millions of other men. What do you have to offer that they don't?
[–]Senior ContributorDemonspawn 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The question is flawed.
No, no it's not. If you want this one in a million woman, you have to offer something she can't get from a million other men. And you have to offers something she actually wants in order to be the better alternative than those million other men.
So what is it you offer?
Do you think she actually wants that?
Do you offer that better than a million other men?
Otherwise, why would she choose you?
[–]commandernem 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You say 'anymore' like at some time in our past it made sense to connect that way, and nothing could be further from the truth. Especially referring to a past where survival was a much more relevant topic. You're not talking about a natural relationship there. You're looking for a unicorn.
[–]moodymela 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Women fundamentally can not love you the way you want to be loved. Men love idealistically and women love pragmatically.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
What it boils down to is I want to be loved for who I am at a deeper level and not what benefits I can provide.
Too fucking bad! The world only cares about what you can do and provide. This isn't a fur-lined hugbox.
It may be a long shot. Not many people even know how to connect in this way anymore it seems.
Why should anyone care to connect with you? You are not owed fulfilling relationships. You must first demonstrate value before someone will want to build a relationship with you.
No reason for me to lose my soul though.
Fuck off with this bullshit. You're making an excuse to avoid having to do the hard work of improvement. This false dichotomy isn't fooling anyone but YOU. There are more choices between 'not improving myself' and 'losing my soul'
I don't want to hear this shit.
I am holding on to it even if I do so alone.
And alone you shall be if you keep up the excuses.
You want a loyal woman? Show that you're worth being loyal to. You want the respect of the people in your life? Prove you have something respectable about you.
The world gives not one fuck about the lies you tell yourself.
I have experienced true love before and I believe I will again.
Don't stop believing - it's much easier than actually making something happen, right? Heaven forbid you say "I want to find a loyal woman. I better put in the work to fix myself - a good woman isn't going to just get handed to me."
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Look dude, I'm gonna say this one last time.
