All of this happened in Eastern Europe, cultural differences may apply.

Context: A few months back I had a plate that I actually liked. She'd come by once or twice a week, she'd cook, we'd fuck, she'd try everything I wanted and she'd leave in the morning. It was perfect.

We fucked on our second date. I was playful and funny and, after the sex I continued to be so but I also added niceness into the mix (I know you're allergic to that word but hear me out) -- simple things: I made some tea, we talked, we smiled, I petted her like a little girl etc. we even hugged and all that.

She later told me she found that wonderful (the after-sex) and she was happy to come by from that day on.

My approach: I was absolutely non-commited, our time together was constant banter and, of course, nobody would admit to any feelings (if there were any); she'd ask, playfully, whether I missed her, and I'd say "not a chance", but I'd laugh and she'd make her own guess on whether that was true or not.

I was distant through my words, long radio silences and teasing, but I was nice after the sex, we hugged, we smiled etc. I was providing both alpha and beta goods. (Willingly, I actually liked her. I don't think you'll enjoy faking even minimal affection)

The result: That was that, she felt like a special girl in the house of a valuable man, which I think is a lot better than the absolutely cold approach taught on redpill. Edit: all this time she knew full well I had other girls.

She enjoyed that feeling and she kept coming back for it, until I went a bit too far with the dread.

How it ended: I called her up one night but she was too tired to come to my place and said she'd come on the next day. Naturally, I called someone else immediately after. On the next day, she came by and noticed the hickies and someone else's hairs on my bed -- that was fine, that was appropriate dread, I had options.

But in the morning I wanted to make fun of her and I told her "Well since you didn't want to come I called someone else from the same university as you."

The result was that she felt too easily replaceable and later told me she was affected by that statement of mine a lot more than she had expected (had a bit of a breakdown on that day, kept asking me who exactly this girl was. I just brushed it off) and that she needed to know she was a bit special and not just like she was "one of my girls." We didn't fuck since, she got a boyfriend in like 2 weeks after that. It's the one plate I regret losing.

Conclusion 1: Maintain balance.

Conclusion 2: The bigger thing here is that you can manifest beta qualities while still remaining a highly valuable alpha, you just need to, well, see Conclusion 1. In the same way that you can pay for a girl in an authoritative way rather than a subservient one. It's a matter of demeanor and balance.

I don't know what it's like in the U.S. but here girls seem to have some amount of self control and dignity: e.g. my last plate blocked me on facebook and told me we shouldn't meet again when she realized she was falling in love with me (she later explained). Of course, that didn't last long, but this is a pattern I often encounter - 1. A girl likes you, 2. She realizes you're never going to like her back as much, 3. She tries to cut off contact and forget you. Again, this sort of situation requires a bit of comfort and things get back to how they should be.
