How long have you lurked here? You should have read the sidebar info but I will tell you a little.
Alpha fux Beta Bux is the primary strategy talked about here. A woman will have sex with a male perceived as Alpha while a Beta will be nothing more than a provider of resources and admiration. Men don't have this strategy. In a population of 300, 150 male 150 female, 100 females will have sex with about 50 males perceived as alpha. Leaving the other 50 females for the other 100 beta males. 50 of those males are omega and won't have any females at all.

I have not read a lot, but enough to see the generalization of women and men, and I think relationships and attraction is a little more complicated. So before reading more I just wanted to clear that part up to see if I should read more. In your comment you are stating that "Women looks after this, and men look after that" To disprove this statement, I only need to find one women and one man that does not match this criteria. I will assume you mean "most women, and most men" since that could be more plausible, however what sort of man women are attracted to I think depends on a lot of things, what male role models she had growing up, if any. What interests she has, who her friends are interested in, what celebrities she likes. I just think there are a lot more factors to this and it's simplying to say that "All women wants an Aplha male", when it completely depends on who that women is and what experiences she has had in life. An alpha male to one woman, would be a beta man to another woman since these terms are really not that applicable in a modern society.

These terms are very applicable in modern society. For example, If you have had sex with alot women without having to take them on a date or anything like that, you are alpha. If you see these same women on facebook with rings on their fingers because they have so much in common, those are betas. Don't be fooled by semantics, when it comes down to attraction, an Alpha can have nothing in common with a woman's past experiences and still have sex with her.

I just think you are misjudging how smart women are. I am fortunate enough to have had a lot of girl friends open up to me (some I've had sex with, others just friends) and discuss attraction and pickup because I'm a philosophical guy and like to discuss these things. And a lot of girls read about seduction tactics, and sure they agree that some men are more alpha than others, but the girls have had very different definitions on what that means. Some women like guys that talk a lot and take up a lot of space in a room and tell stories, other girls hate these guys and find them obnoxious. I guess what I'm most curious about reading is what the definition on alpha is according to redpill? Where would be the best place to read about that?
[–]VegasHostTre 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think YOU are misjudging how smart women are. First of all, listening to woman about their sexual preference is like listening to a fish about how to catch a fish. All that philosophy and you still don't understand that women will lie especially to a man and ESPECIALLY about what they find attractive. And if you wanna know about the definition of Alpha. READ THE SIDEBAR!
[–]HalfPastTuna 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Alpha=has sexual choice. Usually women do the picking of men they fuck. Men who do the picking are alpha. Don't you dare respond to this with anything resembling. "But I know one guy/girl who...."

I just wanted to clear out if the premise of this sub was that men and women are very different. If that is the premise of the sub I would have no interest in reading anymore because I would disagree with the premise. If however this sub saw women as equally complicated as men, I might have been intrigued.
[–]StingrayVC 1 point2 points3 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This doesn't really make that much sense. You start with the premise that we believe that men and women are very different and somehow conclude that this means that women aren't equally as complicated? How did you come to this?
Men and woman fit all sorts of criteria. The redpill theme is always there. For some types it's out there in the open for others it's lurking in the shadows.
[–]imthemanyesiam 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
They are different. Its basic psychology. Women dont know what they want. Theyll tell you they want a nice guy, but there brain and vagina wants a tingle caused by a powerful male who doesnt give a fuck. Submissive by nature.
Men have been conditioned by society to want love, but deep down all we want is sex with as many as possible
[–]somewhatfunnyguy[S] -4 points-3 points-2 points 11 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
The problem when you are generalizing like this is I only need to provide one example to disprove your theory. And I know plenty of women of just wants to have sex with a lot of people, I also know girls who are christian and saved themselves for marriage.
My point is yes, gender might affect behaviour, but it's only one factor. Are you suggesting that gender trumps all other factors, like environment, upbringing, personal experiences, religion, country etc etc. ?
[–]TheRealMewt 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The problem when you are generalizing like this is I only need to provide one example to disprove your theory
The problem with that rationale is that it simply proves that this example is the exception to the rule with the assumption that it will always be the exception and never become the rule.
[–]somewhatfunnyguy[S] -5 points-4 points-3 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Then why does this sub exist? If we are driven by our animal instincts then this sub would not make any point at all? And only natural alpha males would succeed, I guess the point of this sub is to educate beta males to become more alpha, but at the same point it's impossible for women to educate themselves and not fall for these tactics?
Women read, think and discuss these things to.

The problem when you are generalizing like this is I only need to provide one example to disprove your theory.
Ah, so you want a proof in the mathematical sense . . . Well, that's not how we operate here. When we say "all", we mean all in a probabilistic sense, i.e., mean +/- 3 sigma. We never mean deterministically all.
[–]1knitro 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
exceptions don't invalidate theories. You need a scientific method refresher, or introduction.
[–]kempff 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
While I mean no offense to you, I find bickering over "All" versus "Some" to be tedious and unproductive - and ultimately disingenuous. What's the point of objecting that a generalization is not necessarily true in all cases? Where does that get you?
I see confirmation of redpill doctrine over and over again in my daily life. So far I have not knowingly come across a woman, for example, who is an exception to what redpill thought says of her nature. When a theory rings true over and over again in real experience, isn't that enough to admit there's something to it?
[–]ScottishIslander 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Hey somewhatfunnyguy.
Men and women ARE biologically different. It's a fact. Our brains are wired differently, and our sexual strategies are different.
You are right. Sentences that begin with "Women do this" or "Men do that" are not completely true. They are generalizations which do not apply to all men or all women.
However, TRP is not about (or at least should not be about) trying to bash women for the way they behave. TRP exists to give men insight into women's sexual strategy and explain why they do the things they do. This way, men can better understand the sexual market place (SMP) and become more successful in their dealings with women.
I am sure you will come across comments on here that you think are disrespectful to women and you find are not necessarily true, but there is a lot of great discussion going on here about Men's Rights and the dynamics of today's sexual market place. Read with a critical eye, but with an open mind.
[–]lonGterMgoalS 2 points3 points4 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
My point is, all sentences that starts with "Women does this" or "Men does that" are always false.
Speaking in generalizations works within the context of this sub. If you know of women or men that are different from described here then take that into consideration when drawing your own conclusions on what's said.
So, my question is do you really believe that Men and Women are that different? Or am I missing something here?
Men and women are different. This isn't a belief, it's a fact. If you believe differently then you're definitely missing something.

Why are you guys pandering to this poster who admits he has not read the required reference material and is basically arguing NAWALT.
Geeze guys... let him be miserable if he wants... you aren't the guardians of reality.
[–]somewhatfunnyguy[S] -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Who says I'm miserable? I have enjoyed this discussion, I actually have learned something as well :) I was just trying to get a better understanding of the basic premise of the sub before digging deeper.
[–]TVTestPattern 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Good for you...
And we all know NAWALT guy... everything is a spectrum including women... hardly an indictment of RP theory.
At least read this...
Good luck guy.

There's no such thing as an ideal triangle either so I guess we need to throw out geometry.
No such thing as two identical things so I guess we need to throw out mathematics.
My point is, generalizing is a useful technique for analyzing the world. Yes, that's what TRP does. Don't want to generalize? Fine. Throw out all science and join a religious cult. Be my guest. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out of the sub.
[–]somewhatfunnyguy[S] -1 points0 points1 point 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
That was a pretty big strawman you created there. I came here hoping for a discussion. I don't think women and men are that different ----> Throw out all science and join a religious cult.
I don't even know how to respond to that.
[–]FortunateBum 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
My point is that you either accept the use of generalization in evaluating reality or you don't. Science and mathematics are built on using generalization. Lots of people can't accept that.
When generalizing, you are faced with two problems: How accurate is the generalization and what is the variance?
Of course, TRP is about generalizing. Just like science, mathematics, or just about any other tool which tries to predict reality in any meaningful way.
The opposite of this thinking is religion and spirituality where everyone is a unique snowflake and has a soul crafted by the almighty for a specific purpose.
Maybe there's a middle ground, but I can't comprehend it.
I don't think women and men are that different
So, you do think there are general differences between men and women? So what's your problem with TRP? If you think those differences are trivial, then I guess you won't gain anything from reading stuff here. Your sexual strategy will be the mainstream strategy of finding your "soul mate" who wants exactly the same things you do out of life and relationships.

If you can show me a better model that fits reality of female attraction, I'd love to see it.
So far, I haven't seen one.
We are simply pointing out that there's a lot more residual "cave woman" biological programming going on in women's animalistic subconscious than people in polite company are willing to admit.

I think it's dangerous to generalize people based on so few factors, like gender, which is roughly 3.5 billion people you are saying act about the same way.
I used to hold the same opinion. I've changed my mind however due not only to personal experience, but also due to scientific inquiry. Every cell of the body seems to be affected by sex. The brain is no different. TRP frequently links to scientific data. If you don't want to believe it, I guess TRP and science isn't for you. Are there exceptions? Sure. There are intersex people who don't even have a sex. Of course there are exceptions.
And again, if this is just who we are as male or females, and we can't change it, this sub would never exist. It exists because, even though we have primal urges that govern some of our feelings, we have the capability to make our own decisions on how we act.
I think you're getting into the free will debate. I honestly don't believe in free will and don't think anything written or read in TRP will change anything. We come here, share feelings that we're compelled to by our biology, feel good, then go about our business.
As evo-psych has almost proved, women are attracted to status. In our society, your status is practically determined at birth. So your chances with women are practically determined at birth. Personally, I'm after knowledge. I like to understand. For me, TRP gives me understanding. I'm not one who believes that TRP is some sort of magic that will make women bend to my will.

Men grow up receiving unconditional love from their mother.
When they meet a woman they expect unconditional love from her.
Nothing changes; the woman will love only her kids unconditionally.

Nah. Your question is simply tedious and has been answered countless times. If you're not willing to do the work of the other gentlemen here then you don't care enough to learn.

So, your question is "do you really believe that Men and Women are that different?".
Here's my question to you: "do you really believe that Men and Women act the same?" If so, how many times has a woman in a bar offered to buy you a drink?
[–][deleted] 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
[–]leodoestheopposite 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
You're beating around the bush, no pun intended.
You know what I'm talking about, and what you're talking about.
Yes, the problem is your question would make more sense if I was living in the states . It rarely happens that guy buys drinks for girls to pick them up. The "Can I buy you a drink" pickup line is not very common. The guys that does this are usually the rich guys and they are buying for everyone including the guys.
It's most likely a cultural difference, it's not that uncommon that girls are the ones that initiate contact though.

"I only need to provide one man and woman to disprove your premise"
Semantics. Semantics. Semantics.
Normally I would not waste time with closed and padlocked minds but ill add this.
If you find one man and woman disprove my view, then in a world with 7 billion human beings I can most certainly find one man and woman to disprove yours.
Think rationally you fool. Circular logic won't help you to understand.
Thanks for good reply, it really does come down to nurture vs nature. However then how is this sub not a contradiction? If we are really controlled by nature. Then the alpha male would be the biological alpha male, and not something you can read up on and become?
