Back in my blue pill days in college, I was getting signs of interest from this one girl who I didn’t even know was in my class. I decided to chat her up and grab her number at the library the next time I saw her. In the midst of the conversation, this guy shows up and she tells me “this is my friend Ben”. Frankly I assumed he was just a friend just by looking at him. We all 3 talked for a bit and then he left. But, not before kissing this girl on her forehead. This blindsided me and had me thinking “sheesh, you let all your friends do that?”.

A couple of days later, I came to find out that this guy was actually her boyfriend since high school (She never actually told me directly). So, I spent a while trying to figure out why this girl would introduce her boyfriend, who is standing right next to her, to me as her “friend”. I went on another sub, explained the situation and asked why she did what she did. One of the answers that stood out was this woman who replied “She said he was just a friend because she was looking for a new boyfriend to replace him. This girl saw you as a potential option.” Now, to my blue pill mind, this sounded like madness and I just ruled the girl’s actions as being immature and thirsty for attention; and also pretty disrespectful since she didn’t even correctly acknowledge her bf who was right in front of her. Because of this, I cut her off. Eventually as I learned about monkey branching through red pill, it turns out that woman was actually right. This says a lot because taking dating advice from women can often steer you the wrong way.

TL;DR: Girl introduced boyfriend to me as her friend. Woman explained how she was trying to monkey branch before I was aware of female nature and she was spot on.
