One of the most insidious traps a man can possibly fall into is getting lazy when life seems good. So you have the money, the friends, the lifestyle, the body, the status, the women. You've got life right where you want it and things are good.
So why bother trying too hard? Just put that shit on cruise control, kick back, and enjoy. Congratulations are in order, certainly now you are one of those rarefied Alphas that just wins and wins and makes it all look easy.
This is called getting soft. You get soft, and life will shit you out dead with zero warning.
I was raised in upper-middle class America. Car when I was 16, college paid for, never had to work to support myself until after school. Was a beta throughout highschool/college but still managed to land attractive & low n-count girlfriends purely on good looks and a cocksure attitude.
I spent these early adult years trying my damndest to do as little work as humanly possible, while still getting the things I wanted out of life. Enough money to survive and entertain myself. Enough pussy to feel satisfied and validated.
Then I found TRP and everything changed.
"Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution. Choice, not chance, determines our destiny." ~Aristotle
If you are in the position I have described, if you think you have life pretty much figured out, I salute you. Good job. BUT DO NOT STOP. Relax and enjoy yourself from time to time. Recharge your batteries. And then use your power. Keep using it. It is a muscle and like any muscle if you allow it to go unused or under-trained it will deteriorate.
There's nothing worse than letting short term wins go to your head and trick you into being soft. This is the exact timeframe in which otherwise strong, successful men will get cucked by Chad, have their businesses outcompeted, have their friendships wane and wither, and then one day you wake up and realize you let it all slip through your fingers and you have to start over.
If you are winning, KEEP WINNING.
If life is too easy, FIND YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE.
I'll finish this with a pet theory.
Your capacity for work is directly tied to how much you actually work. This is why we thrive under pressure and grow when put through those trials by fire. You hear these stories of men who were in tough, demanding careers until their 60s & 70s, raising families, conquering life, and then as soon as their kids are grown and they retire, poof. They up and die.
Men. We are what we do. If you have nothing to do, you have no purpose. Without purpose, you will become lost, you will become weak, and you will begin to let go.
One of your most powerful and mature moments as a masculine entity will arrive when you look out upon the kingdom you have built, seeing that it is good and that it fulfills your desires, and say to yourself:
"Okay, time for the next challenge."
Not because you need anything more. Not because your family or your society has taught you to achieve some bullshit predefined measures of success.
Simply because you can. Because it would be a shame for you to grow old without seeing all of the strength and beauty of which you are truly capable.
