I've been lifting on and off for about 3 years due to injuries but I am able to gain muscle quickly. Anyhow about 2 months ago I got really big to the point where people would always make some comments about my physique when I went out. For the first time in my life, women approached me. Girls felt up my shoulders, grabbed my arms, grabbed my ass, were more friendly to me etc.

Here's the other thing I want to talk about. If you are in the 17-18 range please start lifting as soon as possible. When I was 17 I had a baby face and was 5'6 tall. Now I am 20 years old and no longer have a baby face. I'm also 2 inches taller. Lifting at the end of puberty can squeeze out some extra inches before you're done and it can also change your face in a good way. Make use of this golden opportunity.

Now 2 months ago I herniated a disc in my neck. Since then I've been having daily headaches and I'm not able to go to the gym anymore. Anyway what I've noticed is that people are treating me differently. I'm still relatively built at 180 lbs, but I just don't have that pump anymore and I don't have persona that I get from lifting. Without the big arms, shoulder and traps, people don't take me as seriously and I'm back to being relegated as the nerd. If you are short, lifting is a must because it gives you that masculine element that your height draws away from.

It is proven that exercise raises your hormone levels, specifically testosterone and growth hormone. During this hiatus from the gym, I've noticed that my sex drive is down; I've been feeling more moody; and I'm not able to sleep as well. If you're a healthy person, you need to exercise and you need to lift. Sprinting is also recommended.

Right now I am busting my ass in physical therapy to get myself back in the game. I am actually depressed that I can't lift anymore. This should show the value of lifting and how it can help a person's diaspora.

Also to those who say that you can't build an impressive physique naturally take a look at this guy. He lifted for 6 years straight naturally since 21 and here's how he looks like now:

It's all about consistency. Make sure you lift with good form so you don't get injured. Most people are here to get a better physique so forget about pushing weight that you can't lift to impress your friends. Bodybuilding is about putting in the reps and time to get to where you need to be. Remember that you can still lift heavy but safely.
