My take: when she switched her seating position, the play would be to disengage from her and start chatting up her friends. If she didn’t re-engage and her friends weren’t anything special, then you should have left right when the doctor showed up. Turning his arrival into your departure. And no texting after you leave. Hit her up a week or two later if she doesn’t first.

It reads like your investment level started to creep up.

Given the fact she's a cheerleader etc, it's gonna be harder to get another round, but I would suggest trying - nothing lost by trying.

DHV yourself on social media if you have it with her (I don't use social media at all) and maybe drop a non-committal text in a couple of weeks giving value to her (emotional value I mean - something funny or a cool story) - NOT asking her out. If she responds and engages well with you, you can suggest a meetup - either another group thing or fuck it and push for a one on one (either same day ideally or max next day - otherwise she WILL flake).

Another thought for next time - if you've lost her attention and focus anyway, you may as well try a couple of other things to get it back - either social proof (ideally flirting with her own friends) or if not that, then some other hot girls at the bar. Or just say provocative shit and different kinds of stories -funny, sad, whatever - basically the idea being to get her focus back on you.

But overall I think you did really well - if she really had a strong "thing* for the other guy, it's difficult to overcome that on the spot (especially without looking try hard).

There are some good lessons here:

Don’t overinvest time or energy into one girl on any night. You should have gone back to the HB8 at the first bar.

Women are never as hot in real life as they are on social media or dressed up. I’ve had several encounters where I even get the girls clothes off and find something gross. Don’t expect perfection.

Don’t try to be a part of a social group you’re not equal with. Sitting at a table as outsiders with a group of doctors, engineers or lawyers - if you’re not one - is just a waste of time.

If I were in your position at the first sign of things starting to go downhill I'd have gotten up and found bubble tits, talked for a second, taken her right over to where cheerleader could see and pounded a shot with bubs. Whisper some bullshit in her ear and then head back over to sit down like nothing happened.

Another thing I've done is purposefully talked to the "bigger" friend of the girl I wanted. Joke around, tell her to sit down with me, talk. Worked like a charm. Hotter friend came over and I ignored her for a little and then just switched to her. Did it way too blatantly though one time. It makes me laugh now, but at the time I felt kind of bad because I could see the look on the first girl's face. She knew what was up. I gave her a little more attention so she'd think she was who I was interested in still and to make sure she didn't fuck anything up for me (cock block). She didn't. What a sweetheart. Took hot girl over to an empty booth, just me and her, and was at her apartment (I was out of town) 20 minutes later.

Last thing you can always do is just start fooling on the girl. You and your boy. Give no fucks at all. Your goal should be to have as much fun as possible anyway, don't color by numbers it. Get em' all riled up. Making them feel some kind of extreme can work sometimes.

Take the bitch off the pedestal
Punish her for doing stupid shit, e.g:
1. Shows up with no make up? Tease relentlessly
2. Brings up her crush? Tell her you'll wing for her and they can get married and have 7 kids
3. Withdraws attention? Withdraw yours and game the rest of the venue

Imagine a scenario in which you're spitting game and making other hot girls laugh while she's sitting there glancing in your direction, listening to the dudes circle jerk each other about recent colonoscopies. What do you think that would do to her hamster?

Lastly, losing plates affecting you tells me you just didn't have enough plates. I can't remember a time when a plate breaking made me go "FML" instead of "Ah, finally a little reduction in maintenance. That was fun, though."
