And no warning, no nothing - just fired. And every politician is jumping on this guy to score points. He was an asshole no doubt, but that does not mean that he is an asshole at work or contributes to a poisoned work environment there. And even if he did, where is the warning, process, counseling, and education support that would usually be in place to keep him with the company without contributing to the environment.

This thing stinks to high heaven. If the reporter feels threatened let her bring charges and have a day in court. But unlike a woman that is being harassed by a man, a member of the press that chooses to engage with a member of the public on camera can't be considered to be at a power disadvantage in the situation. And if he lost in the courts, then they could attack his employment status reasonably.

This is going to have a chilling effect on freedom of expression period. I am so pissed off at this facebook justice, and how everyone is reacting to it. Let this be a lesson to anyone who dares challenge someone with the ability to edit and shape the narrative.
