The idea is to be entertaining. Interesting. Fun. Not necessarily "funny".

Girls don't want to date a clown. Especially an ugly clown.

Girls want to date a guy that's fun, not a joking buffoon.

Obviously, there's some overlap between being a fun guy and being a funny guy -- it's great to make girls laugh and have a good time. Just don't cross over into clown territory. You want to remain a serious fuck prospect, not joke yourself right out of the competition.

I don't buy that men "learn to be funny to attract women." Women are terrible judges of humor. They mainly laugh of their own volition at downright 12-year old shit like goofy faces and stupid voices.

HOWEVER, as you say in 2 & 3, when a girl sees a group of guys around you howling and thumping each other's ~~asses~~ backs over something you've said, she's going to join in with a giggle and trickle her panties for you over that flash of social proof.

You're not wrong, it's a personality trait or indicator more than something desirable in and of itself.

That said, I've never seen any advice like "memorize some jokes", so I don't think anyone was assuming just being funny was attractive to women.

Translation: "Has amused mastery down.", "Can hold Frame.", "Has Game."

it's not a difficult concept.

If you see a well dressed, funny,social women. who is a hambeast, she is not sexually attractive.

if you see two sexy hardbodies. one who is dressed frumpy and has a shit personality. and one who is funny and well dressed the tie breaker is going to be the the attributes.

Humor simply triggers feelz and keeps things light and fun. And these are the exact things that get a woman in the mood for sex. Her arousal depends on your body and dominance but the mood is set by the situation. Humor helps with that.

Note that to much joking can make an erotic moment collapse on itself. If you want to build up to fuck make sure you slow down on the jokes.

Funny has always worked with me.

It works to varying degrees on different female types.

If you get the bitchy-challenge style of shit tests...works wonders.

Also, you have to tailor the humor to her level. You come in and start cracking high brow humor to a 9 or 10 (who also rates the same number in IQ) you better stick to simple stupid humor.

Also you have to be very careful with self-depreciating humor. You can think it's working but you can actually be disqualifying yourself if it comes across as genuine lack of confidence.

Funny's also a good litmus test to see which way you need to go with a girl. You can further evaluate with a neg. It'll either let you know you're wasting your time or sometimes crack open the door.

If one on one is seeming to be a tough sell, you can grease the wheels by making a group laugh. She might not get it , but she sees you making everybody else laugh and you get social points.

As a guy who's naturally funny I can tell you for gaming purposes you have to aim and focus your humour correctly. As well as escalate, kino, be attractive etc.

Watch episodes of Will & Grace, that style of fast responses/comebacks with a level of cruel and insulting content is what women lap up. If you can add some sexual innuendo to it you're golden.

Telling "canned jokes" or making references to your favourite popular comedy show won't do jack shit for women.

I am a tall, skinny guy - a 5 out of 10 in terms of looks, although I have a very deep voice and good communication skills.

I have a good sense of humour, my humour is cocky and funny. I use humour a lot to change the woman's frame correctly. It works. I get laid.

What does not work, in the context of getting laid is a buffoonish or clownish behaviour and self deprecatory jokes.

Being fun, changing the frame of conversation, is a high value behaviour.

I've gotten laid because I am funny. I pulled women in my 20's who were out of my league because I was funny.

It's how and what. Don't be the clown. Have a quick wit. Know when to stop. Also, know when to stop. Skirt the edge of what's acceptable without going to far past it. Know your audience. Know how to break balls the right way. Don't make being funny your only thing.

A quick wit can be sexy. Make it part of your persona. Practice with strangers - grocery store, shopping, gas station etc.

honestly it all comes down to abundance mentality when you truly have an IDGAF mindset and attitude everything you say will be received as value, look at RSD tyler/julien they actually talk about these stuff, they say some over the top insane stuff and it's perceived as funny because of how they feel, they not looking to get something from the girls they are just offering value, would recommend you guys check their videos out to see what i mean.

You are almost correct, I think you are understating the power of humour. Like Christopher Hitchens said "women are not funny, they do not need to be. If a man is not funny then his seed will never be accepted by a woman." There is a lot of truth to this, no girl wants fuck an ugly guy, but if he makes her laugh she thinks, hmmm maybe. If he is good looking then it makes her feel special and speeds up her feelings of comfort. Humour is a very important and useful trait. It is not necessary, thugs have no problem getting laid and anger is also attractive to women, but let's not forget the important role humour plays.

Being funny is amazing, everyone around you lights up, one of the rare moments where they look at you with honesty and joy in their eyes, you crack a joke, everyone turns to you and laughs, they're closer to you now because you give them that momentary happiness.

I used to have that touch, I don't know where I lost it and I don't know how to get it back, I'm not too concerned about it but I know how powerful being funny can be.

Be careful not to become that guy though, that clown in the group no one takes seriously, then it has the opposite effect, it usually happens one self-deprecating joke too many, every once in a while it's good, shows you have enough confidence to point out your flaws yourself, but don't exaggerate or you will cross into self-pity.

Agree with your post. Important to note, though, that I think a majority of guys that consider themselves funny aren't actually funny at all. It's common courtesy in this bullshit day and age to laugh at attempts of humor out of common courtesy.

Additionally, maybe being hysterically funny does get you laid, but only if you're literally one of the top 10 funniest people in the world, like a primetime comedians: Carlin, Louis CK, Bill Burr.

Being funny is like any other character trait: there is a spectrum someone can be placed on, and simply hitting average or slightly above average funniness isn't going get you drowning in pussy. I don't know why that ideology ever became a thing. Being funny should diversify what you have to offer. And unless you're one of those top 1% funny people in the world, I wouldn't say it guarantees you anything. Like there's a fuck ton of athletic, fit guys, and women love athletic, fit guys. But being even a few standard deviations away from the mean in terms of athleticism doesn't guarantee you those women. Being the number one crossfit world champion probably gets you something. Society went soft when being average or slightly above average at something cultivated a sense of entitlement.

The only trait that guarantees sex in and of itself, without anything else added to the mix, is being insanely insanely good looking.

Regarding funny though, there's different brands of humor, some which help you get laid more than others. Let's say I'm walking down the street with a woman and see someone who is mentally challenged. I could say the funniest thing in the world at his expense, and biologically theres a good chance I'll get a chuckle if the joke is legitimately funny. The woman will laugh, but I'll be a pathetic piece of shit and labelled a dick. On the flip-side, if I make a joke that displays some level of intelligence and awareness/confidence in myself...maybe about how people that don't shut up about their Paleo diets, and the woman herself is big into diets....that may give her some tingles.
