I think the posts on how to approach women are just specific advice for one area of a person's life, just like you wouldn't want to see this entire sub talk about how you should workout and diet. PUA that I've experienced taught that inner game (internalizing ideas/concepts) is more important than outer game (posture, eye contact, kino). In the same way a sword is more important than sharpening it, but both are necessary for an effective weapon. learning PUA does cultivate people's persona, becoming a great human being (in your eyes, fuck other people's opinions) could include being proficient with picking up women, and living your dream life may include approaching a woman and having a spontaneous date. None of these are mutually exclusive. What PUA group/forum did you use when you were first introduced?

You need both PUA & TRP. Being chased by women assumes women make good decisions, and they DON'T. They make shitty decisions, especially shitty sex & relationship decisions. You are better off figuring out how to unlock LMR than you are taking sluts who like you for superficial reasons.

PUA gives you the skills to market a product on the sexual market (YOU), but TRP says you need to be a good product first and foremost. PUA's tend to gloss over this.

PUA is a tool and TRP is a philosophy. It's fine if you use PUA to overcome your weaknesses. After all it's all about the result.

PUA has evolved to be very blue pill. Listening to these guys talk, you can hear how they make it all palatable to women and the desparate beta white knights (who they make their money from I'd guess).

They leverage "you'll get a princess" and "looks don't matter" BP thinking and transform it into "just give us a little cash and you can learn the few tweaks you need to get your princess while being yourself". They talk very little about male looks, because it doesn't suit their business model. I don't think they're even as good at pickup as they claim - cherry picking of videos is rife.

TRP is more brutal and more honest. TRP says "you don't need a few tweaks, you need to get your fat ass into shape, you are not an 8 you are a 4 and 4's only get to smash 2's, now hit that fucking gym and man the fuck up already and quit worrying so much about women, they are #2 in your life at most, get on with your fucking mission". It's the military bootcamp rather than the gentle weekend retreat.

That being said.... the PUA stuff has a lot of info about approaching and interacting with women, dealing with shit tests and so on. Sure it's outer game compared to TRP's deep inner game, but that's got its place too. Girls really are alien (don't listen to the alien saying it's not an alien, that's just alien-speak to get you to drop your guard) and most guys can definitely benefit from some very non-obvious ways of dealing with them. I certainly have.

There are some very good niche PUA sites that are a lot more RP and a lot less "find your princess". I'm talking about Krauser PUA, Good Looking Loser, Black Dragon Blog. Perhaps Real Christian McQueen. (I'm not affiliated with any of them but highly recommend them)

You have to take the best of both and discard the BS. I think at its core, TRP is good stuff, but many of the posts on here illogically generalize, and cherry pick points that further their beliefs. You can read literally anything and come to your own self fulfilling conclusion, whether it is actually right or not. And I see tons and tons of posts here, where posters reach conclusions that simply don't make much sense, but they are 100% confident in them.

Good points to learn about TRP: increase your value, take control of your life, don't let women run you over. That's about it. Learn that and move on.

Good points to learn about PUA: almost then same thing except the tactics are less inner game and more memorizing routines and stories. It works better for lower value guys. You can use this to initially help your social skills, but otherwise, how much of your life do you want to devote to getting hot chicks in the club? To me, it would be shallow and unfulfilling once the novelty wears off.

I think of it this way - PUA without TRP will net you limited results, but much of it will be 'work', a numbers game, and just general bullshit.

TRP alone will net more 'natural' results, with less direct work focused on women. Your time will be spend lifting and living your life with women as a byproduct of your awesomeness.

Pairing TRP with aspects of PUA will net the most results. You'd probably want to combine this 70/30 or so... majority of the results are from whatever you're really doing in life, your passion, your journey, experiences, etc. Sprinkling in PUA tactics and knowing how social situations work just gives it a boost.

I don't like PUA. It's kind of like a cheap bag of tricks that will help you bang club bitches. Sure it has uses but there's too many fakes and phonies out there. In my mind, PUA is a bunch of geeks arguing on the forums over "pickup" techniques they've never even tried (or would have the balls to). I feel like PUA doesn't particularly help break a fem-obsessive mindset, in fact it might even make it worse because these guys will go on for hours about the dumbest shit instead of actually doing anything.

IMO, whereas PUA is a patch to a leaky shitty radiator in a car, TRP yanks that radiator out and puts in a brand new titanium alloy gold fucking plated one. It's better to rebuild who you are as person than to rely on parlor tricks.
