On a throwaway so this isn't tied to my main account. I don't participate much in this sub, only drop by occasionally to read posts, and I would say I believe some tenets of TRP theory even if I'm not 100% into it.

But what I realized today is: when the most staunchly feminist women rail against TRP and concepts like AWALT, the reason they do it is ... they know deep down it's true, and that they benefit from it, and they don't want the gravy train to end.

Like I said, I'm somewhat of an outsider to the community, but what first really opened my eyes to TRP stuff was reading about the sexual marketplace and sexual value, and hearing a Bill Burr podcast from a long time ago regarding a cheating woman. What I realized is... they benefit from constantly jumping from partner to partner, and they know it, and that's why they are so desperate to have you believe it's NOT true.

Think about it. You spend absolutely 0 time going out and campaigning against flat-earth people, because we all know as scientific fact the earth is round. It's so laughably wrong it's not even worth it to argue. But imagine you, say, worked a retail job and you were skimming the register? If someone accused you of that, you'd be falling over yourself trying to deny it and prove them wrong. Yet if you weren't guilty, you could confidently tell them "check the balance sheets, I'm innocent". If you benefit from the system, you're gonna do whatever you can to keep that gravy train going, and keep everybody in the dark about it.

Women, internally, deep down, know that TRP concepts are true. That's why they are so desperate to tell you they're not.
