If you ever have to ask for it, you will never get it.

That is the central lesson of TRP and what separates alphas from betas from boys. It applies not just to relationships but friendships, business, even family. If you are not being respected, there is nothing you can do with that person. Even if you raise your SMV, it's too late - you're branded for life. It never ceases to amaze me how jealous old friends you've surpassed can be, to the point of resenting you - because if they didn't respect you, no amount of success is yours.

The good news is that there is a world full of interesting, beautiful people ready to respect you. And asking for respect from those who don't give it shouldn't be a reason to be hard on yourself - we all deserve respect - but it should be a sign that your time, effort and attention are better spent on someone new.

My N count is in outer space but recently I, like all of us, fell hard in love/oneitis like I haven't in maybe a decade. But it got so bad I found myself screaming - why won't you respect me? When I heard myself say it, it was like snapping out of a dream or sobering up.

We can give and get respect, but we cannot get others to give it. Invest in those who do. You're worth it.

Much luck brothers.
