So recently, I abandoned spinning plates in pursuits of some personal growth (ie, lifting, studying, etc).

While spacing out into the open window in exhausting from my new routines (went monk mode a few weeks back), I realized something which i wasn't privy to at the time. This should be obvious to you if you went through it, but you either spin multiple plates or not at all. The less plates we have, the more invested we become in those plates, which turns into ONEitis.

Couple of months ago, I had a schedule of girls I was spinning down to the exact date and time, sometime multiple a day. Then work caught up with me, and I dropped them all except one. Without even realizing it, I was pushing that ONE into a relationship with me. Few weeks later, we broke it off.

Why? Because I compromised myself for that ONE. That ONE was the only plate I had left when I had other shit to deal with. I then value that ONE too much and it didn't end well.

What I learned is that you either spin multiple plates and get something out of it, or not at all and work on yourself. You can't expect to work only one girl and expect it not too go down hill once the shit hits the fan.

Credit to Pook, his message is so much clearer now.
