"Stop drinking alcohol, it is killing your game, bro!" is one of the most common advices when it comes down to gaming in a night club.

I don't agree, at least not in general. I've had it all: approaching girls while sipping a glass full of water all night, drinking a beer or two or being severly drunk.

Often, people are going to argue like this: "Man, if you drink alcohol, you just get worse at communicating and thinking, plus, girls don't like drunk guys, so yeah, stop doing that shit!"

No. I don't want to. I like alcohol and I like the effect it has on me, especially when it comes down to approaching girls. Yes, if you're getting that drunk that you can't even speak a normal sentence on a regular basis and you still want to approach girls, you should probably think about reducing the amount of alcohol you drink. But if you're just that type of guy that likes to drink a couple of beers and that just get's better at socializing because of it, there is absolutely no reason to stop or even reduce it just because some self-proclaimed Pick Up Guru is telling you to do so. I often read stories like:

"The first time being sober at a night club was absolutely amazing! Just seeing all of those guys being drunk and foolish, and here I am, just talking to girls while they are buying their next tequila shots. I am a Master Pick Up Artist, hurr durr."

Good for you, buddy. I know what you mean. It's definitely a new kind of sensation to be sober at a night club. But let me add one thing here:

Normally, night clubs are pretty fucked up places. Everyone around you is wasted and does stupid shit. Alcohol (even if it's just a beer or two) helps you to keep up with this kind of stupid shit, and that is perfectly fine. I don't drink because I'd be incapable of approaching girls otherwise (I don't have much approach anxiety anyway), I drink because it's much more fun this way. Period.

You have to find your own limits. If you're one of those guys that write answers like "I can drink half a beer, but everything above it makes me a totally social inadequate dude", yes, stop it. Or, if you just don't like the taste of it, stop it. It's fine. It's your choice.

But stopping to drink completely because "it is killing your game", that might be (I said might (!)) be a little bit of nonsense. I tried it myself. Because like you, I thought that it might have a negative effect on my game. Turned out it didn't and that drinking alcohol is fine.

Honestly, I often feel like people just want to be different, and that is why they stop drinking completely, even if they could easily afford to drink a beer instead of being "that guy" that fills his glass of water on a hourly basis at the washroom and hunts down women.

TL;DR: Night clubs are fucked up anyway, it's okay to drink if you want to.
