I know this sub has a love/hate relationship with Tinder, bumble, etc. but I feel like it doesn’t doesn’t get stressed enough about the importance of NOT using dating apps. Here’s why:
-
Dating apps like tinder and bumble are basically just female validation tools. Now if you want to get good at hitting on girls, sending “witty” messages over a screen isn’t the way to do it Women get inundated with hundreds of matches and messages a day from every Chad, Thad and Tad there is. Most girls on these apps are on there to see how much attention/validation/free meals/Venmo or ig followers they can get on there. Don’t be some thots ego boost
-
For guys who are nervous/apprehensive about approaching, using tinder/bumble as a crutch for approach anxiety is pointless. It’s like using guitar hero as a way to learn the actual guitar. In order to sharpen your game and frame you need real world, face to face practice and interaction with women. The more you use dating apps, the more disconnected with actual human interaction you’ll get. No amount of messaging and swiping right will get you world class charisma and wit, and rock solid frame. Only practice, practice, practice, and more practice will get you that
-
There’s a higher margin or error on Tinder then in real life. Imagine you go to a bar and approach a HB9 How many times you think she’s been approached during the course of the night? A half dozen? Maybe dozen at the most? Not so bad Now imagine her on tinder. How many times do you think she’s been swiped right on and sent the same generic message over and over? Hundreds, if not thousands of times. The odds of you standing out on tinder are slim to none. Shit with hundreds and thousands of messages, even chad will have a tough time standing out.
-
As we know, women are feelings driven. It’s a lot harder to give her tingles over tinder than in real life. Sure she might like your shirtless pics and witty bio, and maybe you do send a message that was witty and stands out. You temporarily give her the “tingles” until another guy with a better physique and better game swipes right and send her an even wittier message. Now you’re invisible That’s a lot harder for that to happen in person. If you have tight game/frame you can hold her interest longer than you would on a dating app.
-
Tinder isn’t real life On tinder, chad and Stacey rule...Real life is a little more complicated. Unless you’re an 8+ tinder is basically useless. Sure you’ll get matches, but most probably won’t lead to anything. It’s an appearance driven dating app, and with most online dating apps the best looking match with the best looking, and the rest get left behind.
In real life, you can compensate for any weakness by mastering your strengths. For example. A guy who’s a 6 or 6.5 can easily bump himself up a point or two by dressing well and grooming himself well. If his game is tight he could bump himself up another point. On tinder that 6 stays a 6. No amount of cologne or nice clothes will help
TL:DR Don’t use dating apps period. Of you want to get better game and better frame, then there’s no better teacher then real life experience and approaching. That’s the only way. Guys in the NFL don’t get there by playing Madden all day. You won’t get to be”chad” unless you put the work in to be chad
