I can really relate to your post. I'm a Marine, the same shit happened with me and my ex-wife. I sucked it up and stayed for far too long, put up with too much shit, and sacrificed for her happiness for far too long. I made the realization that I should get out, and needed to get out, but didn't for close to 2 years..

After standing up for myself and divorcing my wife, and then finding this subreddit and having my eyes opened so much wider. I can't even explain how much better I feel about myself from adopting some of the methodologies in this subreddit. You have no idea how much weight is lifted off of you when you make that decision, once and for all.

I wouldn't stay, fuck her $300k a year, fuck her.

If you've truly had enough, you wouldn't be contemplating sticking around for the money. I knew I would be temporarily fucked financially but it's only temporary.

My guess is that when you start changing yourself up, the shit tests and resistance will go into warp speed. The key is to not lose frame (like I did). If she doesn't respect you or your mission already, she probably never will and she'll branch swing to a surgeon or something.

Thanks. That's why this appeals to me so much. I'm already a "successful" guy in societies eyes, but I know where I am headed.

I realized that I am plenty capable right this min of thriving financially, mentally, sexually... but I've suppressed it by being a "supportive husband of a doctor" but it was more me just letting her control and manipulate me.

One other thought - her dad is an alpha. He was red pill before there was a red pill. I'm wondering if I just start acting like her dad if she'll fall in line.

Bc she doesn't question him. She questions me for everything. I feel like if I take that approach she is either gonna love it (daddy issues) or we will fight so hard I end up divorcing her.

Would I stay for that life? Me personally, I might, but not for wealth alone. Depends on how far out of control she is. If you're at the brink of divorcing her, might as well run roughshod and take it by the reigns, take back the power until either she breaks it off or you end up somewhere comfortable. But in the meantime, take the cautionary tales and prepare for potential divorce rape or rape accusations. If you are beyond ever loving her again, break it off. But in the meantime, hedge your bets, prepare. Time is in your favor.

I'd say read here, learn here, apply the philosophies you'd be surprised at the outcomes. Like one of my post I said there are times that it feels really unnatural to me to do things that are taught here, but they work. Definitely "lift," I believe most post about rules here make that number 1. Before you give up make yourself a better self. Then if it's time to throw in the towel do it. But at that time you'll be in a lot better position. Stronger mind, stronger body, stronger soul, good luck.

No reason to shame a girl for becoming a medical doctor--really noble thing to do, lots of schooling to learn how to heal us. Maybe she chose to do this because its her passion and not for the money. Give her a chance, put both of your professions aside and determine if shes the one.
