So . . . are there any red flags?
Also, what do you actually want out of your life, versus what you think you should want, versus what other people tell you that should want?
No path is without risk.
A lot of RPT is about waking up reality and not living in a fantasy land with regard to male and female motivation. It's not about choosing monogamy or spinning plates per se.

I don't see any red flags, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. I haven't dealt with this level of infatuation since I started TRP. I'm worried "she blinded me with science" so to speak, haha
[–]monsieurhire2 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Well, what are your goals, and what are you concerned about? What are her goals and concerns?
Are you afraid she's going to get knocked up by some other guy, trick you into thinking it's yours, and then divorce rape you for half your bread, and only then do you find out that she gave you VD, while meanwhile she is getting plowed by random dudes? This is pretty much the sum of all TRP fears, and let's face it, no matter who the woman is, the risk is ALWAYS there that she can just go nuts, as in, clinically insane. Some circuits can misfire, a clot could occur, and then . . . insanity! Of course, it can also happen to you too.
On the other hand, nothing wrong with being blinded by science. It's better than having no chemistry.
And you can't live your life in fear. If shit happens to you, you just gotta deal with it.
It's either that or live a completely risk-averse life, which can get boring.

watch your thoughts. observe them. you will notice when you are having way too high expectations or when you are building this dream in your head. be self aware and dont let yourself get so attached that you cant leave her.
think about your dealbreakers, think about your bounderies and so on. educate yourself on relationship game.

First thing you have to realize is there is no hole too deep that you can't climb out of. She hasn't shown any signs of crazy yet, so what's the problem? Just don't get married. At least give it 3-4 years and be absolutely sure. As long as you don't forget that until then, you can leave at the first sign of crazy, you'll be fine.
[–]PIBagent 3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She's older than me
Is clearly a red flag. So is the fact that she is turning 29, she's looking for a provider.
Tell me, if she was REALLY marriage material why was she still single up til the point she meet you? What was she doing for all of her 20's that she didn't get a man then.
Ask her to describe the guys she has dated in the past. If she describes them all in a negative light (i.e. jerks, players, bad boys, etc) you know the reason why she's single.

I'm not going to lie, I wasn't expecting a response of this quality. Thank you.

RPT get's a lot of bad rap about being like a cult. Do this, do that, DON'T do this, DON'T do that... But ideally, TRP is just waking up to reality and DOING WHATEVER YOU WANT WITH THAT KNOWLEDGE. Don't live in denial of what women and men are really like, but don't let ANYONE, even other Red Pillers, TELL you how to live your life. Getting advice from other people is great, but in the end, your life, your decisions, that's the REAL Red Pill to swallow.
[–]HalfysReddit 14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Dude, we talk a lot on TRP about having many different women in our lives and all but it's all honestly for one goal: happiness.
And for a lot of guys, that quest for happiness ends with a monogamous relationship. We fuck around a lot yea, but eventually some chick comes along and impresses you enough that fucking around just doesn't seem as appealing.
Fuck what you're told to want, what do you want? Does this chick make you happy? Do you have reason to believe you shouldn't trust her? Do you prefer your relationship with her over your bachelor lifestyle? If so, the fuck are you thinking, asking us to "talk you down"?
Motherfucker, I get some fine ass, and I'd love to be in your position. I'm still waiting for my impressive chick, don't fuck up a potential shot with yours.
All that being said, do keep in mind that she might not be what you really want. Just look at what's up, consider it all, and make a decision.

Yep, that ends their happiness all right.
Women need to know you can catch other fish so they can act right.
As soon as you need her, you stop being attractive to her.

This post assumes, wrongly, that there's some kind of "rule" when it comes to being a Red Pill advocate. That you can't ever be in a relationship. TRP is about men, not women. TRP is NOT about spinning plates and getting laid all day -- that's one aspect of life that really does fit the school of thought, but the point of TRP isn't women. It's about being a man and coming to grips with the truth.
If you are a strong, confident, man who is well-versed in the Red Pill and how the world really works -- what men want, what women want, how men work, how women work, and how to get what you want and give a woman what she wants (despite her constantly trying to get in the way of you doing that) -- then a relationship can work, at least for a little while. You can enter that relationship with reasonable expectations, and not be floored and shocked when the woman does something a non-RP man would have thought was crazy, and react appropriately, and not be caught with your pants down when it all ends but instead smile, amused, and move on to the next girl, happy for having had such a good run.
There's no need to talk you down if you're armed with the right information and going into a relationship with reasonable expectations.

rub one out and ask yourself then
[–]atlascrowed 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Done that, still want her, still worried I'm infatuated. I don't just want her physically. I really like her. I'm just worried about getting hurt.
[–]skeeveholt 17 points18 points19 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Infatuation is fine, dude. If you legit like this girl, give it a shot. This place isn't about non-monogamy, it's about not giving away your power. You clearly legit like this girl - don't fight that, just don't lose yourself in the process.

There's your problem. You would do well to solve this problem.
Never should you be worried about being hurt based on your relationship with another person. Think about this for as long as it takes. Never enter into a relationship when you think you are in danger of being hurt. It means you need something from someone. Never need anything from anyone.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If only more men rubbed one out before making big decisions. Not saying this is big but it could be.
[–]GenericUsername14 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You should pursue exclusivity if that's what you want to do. Why? Because you want to do it.
I would obviously suggest that you remain level headed in your evaluations of this woman, now and later.
You said before you fell for her that she was marriage material. Well, she just might be YOUR marriage material. You don't want to pass up something that might be a once in a lifetime chance, finding a trustworthy and reasonable woman that is highly unlikely to royally fuck you in the future, just because you had some fears about the situation, even if those fears are plausible and grounded.
You know the risks involved, but I am sure you can figure out for yourself what you want to do, and when. Don't be afraid to make a decision, whether that decision is to settle down with her or, should you find yourself facing serious flaws, to pack up and move on.
[–]dmahan 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Just put it off for a couple months, and see how you feel then.
[–]atlascrowed 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I doubt she'd wait for me.
[–]stalinbaby 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Are you so worried about that? I'm not in your position and don't have all the data, but maybe that's a point to think about.
I read your phrase as: "Oh man, if I don't compromise about this, she'll stop liking me. I can't have that." And you know how compromises go: once you start making them, you'll keep going for others, just because apparently you're afraid that she would get over you. And she just might stop liking you for caving in to everything she wishes.
So don't do it just because you think she won't wait for you. Only do it when/if you really want to. If she wants to leave, let her go.
[–]jacobman 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Pretty much every girl will wait a few months at least. If she forces you to say something just tell her that you're enjoying your time together, but that you aren't going to rush into anything serious. Girls worth your time respect others desire to go at their own pace. Remember that one of the most important rules is to respect yourself. If you respect yourself then girls will respect you too. Rushing into something you're not ready for because you feel pressured by the girl is not respecting yourself.

If I could offer a different perspective,
Could the Crystallization Theory) apply here?
Right now, naturally your mind only wants to see everything good about her, maybe even glorifying her to an extent. But eventually that image breaks down as you see her for her faults as well.
From this conclusion, I would ask myself if it is either: A) worth it to wait and find out what kind of person she really is (because it will happen) or B) enjoy the sex and move on.

Well don't just jump right in like a chump. But you need to quit buying the bullshit you read here--don't get me wrong, there's some good stuff. It's the bullshit you have to quit paying attention to. Stop letting people tell you that every women is a cancer.
[–]JusticeCakes 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I think what it comes down to is avoid being a door mat, or find yourself stuck in some sick co-dependent situation in ANY relationship. Define your personal standards and avoid breaking them to maintain your self-respect.
[–]x7CR7x 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Oneitis.
[–]RedSunBlue 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Put her in your line up, but don't stop recruiting new talent.
[–]JoJackthewonderskunk 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It sounds like you've made up your mind and want to date her. There's nothing wrong with that if its what you want to do. Applying red pill to the situation is intended to give you the upper hand in your dealings with women, not entirerly discourage you from exclusivity. Bottom line: do whatever the hell you want.
[–]EVILEMU 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Why are you second guessing yourself? You make it sound like you're afraid from a genuinely nice person.
[–]FortunateBum 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Take things slow, don't let her pressure you into doing stuff too soon, hold off moving in together as long as possible.
You're suffering from ONEitis. Fuck three other girls and see how you feel about this one.
Remember that just because she's great now, doesn't mean she'll be great down the road. I can personally attest to that. My ex-wife was amazing at first, then a year and a half later, I'm doing her fucking homework for her, taking care of HER kids (both of which were from two different dads), and I wasn't allowed to have friends or she'd fuck them and then cry rape.
Pros-and-cons list?
She sounds sweet, but I know how it feels, trying to figure out if you like a girl or you like the idea of a girl. See if you can hold off being exclusive while you make a list of pros and cons... not just of the girl, but of dating exclusively in general, including all your fears.
Good luck
