Men do construction
There are all types of men who work in construction. The most consistent trait is most of these males are men. Most examples of "Nice guys" can definitely benefit from working in construction. The environment you work in everyday really shows you how resilient your body is, and how very little things like , appearance, being nice, or other formalities matter when interacting with other males socially. Youre going to work with people that have all type of flaws and you'll notice most of these men are fine. They're okay. Most will be married to a wife that packs theyre lunch everyday, a loving wife. These men are fine, they are breathing, getting paid, strong , smart and they dont care how people see them. If you lacked the guidance of a strong male figure, working in construction will slowly shape you into a man. This isnt some magic trick, it takes effort on your behalf to watch and learn, and get the most out of it. Getting the job done is the best way to explain how you should work and live. Of course have fun, and of course get it done right...but don't waste time, just get the job done. You need to hang some pipe? Start getting all the tools needed, to get your measurements; asses what materials are needed, and get that shit crackin. Same goes for being social. You want to hang out at the bar with a few friends? Start figuring out where, what time and who's coming, once you have that, get that shit crackin. You wanted hang out, if noone comes so what , get the job done and chat it up with bartender and let the conversation transfer to other people...just fucking hangout, who cares if youre alone, because everyone has flaws and you're fine. If its a chick you want to fuck , get the job done and speak to her, feel her out and asses, if shes what you want and shes interested....get that shit crackin.

Money
If you think this is a low paying job, its not. Yeah you won't always jump in making top dollar, but with time you can make above average pay. The earlier you start, the better.You can have 10 years on the field by 28, if you went through an apprenticeship, you can take those college credits and earn a degree, and become a company man; a project manager, or start your own contracting buisness. You always have the option to leave and come back.

Being a man doesnt make you perfect
Even the manliest man can be a beta, being beta doesnt always mean you're nice and sweet; anger is a beta trait. Lots of foremen will be cranky bitches cursing and yelling all day as if they were never in your shoes. Some call it tradition, i see it as a lack of self control, you can adress things calmly and sternly and locate why a person/ apprentice isnt working to your expecations..and fix it, but see this is just one of the few things ive learned from just experience in the trades.
