She understands what it is like to have a strong male figure in her life and in order for her to be with you. You will have to replace her strong male figure with someone better than her father.

All-in-all if she is smart, she will make it a competition amongst her men and see which is more suitable for her future.

Bear in mind, you are in a sub that actively tells people to avoid serious commitment, so asking us what characteristics would make a girl worth committing to might not be very fruitful, hence the replies you are getting so far.

That said, I have posted before on this sub that I find your view totally correct. My wife had a good relationship with her father, and he was very much a guy who was in charge of the ship. He was somewhat liberal, but he never let anyone walk all over him, and his family was afraid to disappoint him even though he never seemed to get upset.

Anecdotally, the only girl from my high school class who had a good relationship with her father also turned out into the perfect wife for her now-husband.

I think the advice on TRP for approaching women makes it easy to get laid, but it also screens out women actually worth having an LTR with in most cases. Sometimes that can be fixed by meeting women at the book store instead of the bar, but by and large the girls most willing to sleep with you TRP-style are least likely to make good LTRs. This, to me, is the one big hole in our philosophy. However, I do understand that most people aren't looking for a wife at all, ever. So to them it doesn't really matter and the issue isn't a hole, but a feature.

No it's true, in my experience. Out of all the girls I've been with, the only one that insisted on waiting to have sex until after being in a LTR was the one who had a good father. The rest of them didn't have a problem having sex outside of a relationship.

Didn't date her long enough to find out if she was a princess but she didn't seem like it.

I think most people have it right in their heads, wherein if a woman has a good relationship with her father then she'll probably make for a good wife. We'd all probably define a "good relationship with her father" as being raised in a way that makes her have a good sense of self-worth and to be kind, fair and levelheaded.

Over on RPW, it's essentially the reverse of what we talk about here. They talk about how to improve themselves in order to secure a lasting relationship, yet the advice is still the same; lift, work on your hobbies/talents, raise your overall SMV. They use the "man as captain, woman as first-mate" analogy fairly frequently, and it makes sense. Essentially, I would think that a woman having a good relationship with her father (and hopefully mother, as well) would increase the odds of creating daughters like that.

Otherwise it really depends on the dad, how he raised his daughter, and how his daughter responded to his teachings.

Was in an LTR with one for upwards of 8 years and I've known more than a few. They're princesses, always want their own way, are pedestalised from birth and generally refuse to believe they are ever wrong. Daddy always saved them from the mean ol' mother and reaffirmed their world views. They basically kind of become 'nice girls', can be very manipulative.

Edit: Of course, I've known a few who were decent people too, though not as many. Usually those ones also had a good relationship with their mother. Basically, were raised in a good home. Best not to make sweeping generalisations really.

In my experience dude, "willingness to be plated" mostly has to do with your perceived SMV in the woman's eyes. In other words, her ideals and upbringing enter very little into it. Also note, not a man's true SMV, only PERCEIVED.

Adding: don't confuse the psycho dads with bad dads. Fathers with mental issues may warrant caution from their daughters and at first glance not what you would call a "good" relationship. If she understands he's got a screw loose and isn't badmouthing him like public enemy #1 in her life, that's the good sign. It's still possible for the daughter to respect and love him, and there may be some mutual bond there, but it is not based on the nurturing or unconditional kind of love found in normal functioning households.

Women with crazy fathers either swing as nutcases themselves with no standards or are the upper 1% of reserved, wife material ladies.
