Quick background; I am a sophomore in college currently living on campus. I am also a student ambassador (tour guide). I have a meal plan which is a flat rate of $2500 per semester, you cannot opt out (robbery). However, the food is all you can eat.

You would think that I gained the freshman 15, right? In fact, I've lost about 15 lbs since getting to college.

Anyways here is the story.

Today on campus was open house, and I worked. A day where all the departments show out basically and make a big effort to recruit incoming high/school or transfer students. As a result, the dining hall went extra hard to impress the kids/parents by catering the food today. They were serving scrambled eggs for breakfast that literally had green bits in them today (not green pepper). I came back for lunch with a couple of my co-workers (2 girls, HB5/6) and they were literally serving the same shit that they did for breakfast. (Hash browns, bacon, eggs, french toast, etc.) Tons of kids were complaining about the quality of the food and many bitches were repulsed by the eggs. This led to a shitstorm.

So here I am sitting in between two overweight girls. They were complaining about the eggs and this only exacerbated the fact that most of us students are already mad about the quality of the food. It's not hard to eat good on campus. Yes there is lots of fried food, pizza, burgers, ice cream, cookies, but I don't eat any of that. I eat small portions of entrees with vegetables, grilled chicken, only drink water.

Anyways I mention that and these girls are like no its impossible to eat healthy here. "When I'm home, I do weight watchers. I measure my feta cheese, and I measure my dressing when I make a salad. I used to be skinny. I used to be an athlete! Ever since I got here, I've been gaining weight" So here I am continuing to state my case;

"Just make the right choices."

Then the other girl said "I weigh 215 lbs. Ever since I got to campus 2 years ago, I gained 40 lbs, I don't understand it!" She was also eating crumb cake as we spoke. They then proceeded to show me pictures of when they were "In shape" two years ago, but of course they were delusional because they were still overweight in those pictures.

Then I was like, "I don't know about you but ever since I got here I've been losing weight. It's not hard to make healthy choices."

And then they were like OMG ITS SUCH HARD WORK I CANT DO THAT EVERYDAY. WERE DOOMED TO EAT FRIED FOOD AND GET FAT.

And I was just like no. That's not accurate.

I withdrew from the scenario after a while.

They said they were going to hold each other accountable and start going to the gym and eat right.

I was just like, "you go girls!"

I left and went to the gym and just crushed chest and legs. I am also on track to be in 1000 cal deficit today, still eating enough protein.

Just goes to show, women refuse to take responsibility for their eating habits, acting as if obesity "just happens".

It's calories in, calories out.

Read up on it, ladies.
