It's not uncommon for me to have black guys in my crew at work, and while i'm not trying to speak for any of them, it seems like most of them have a pretty similar mindset as you regarding this white guilt crap. Of course, this is in the skilled trades, so all the guys you work around are essentially middle class, even if you do get some rednecks here and there. Do you think the portion of the black population that actually wants whites to feel guilt and supports reparations and all that tend to be lower class? Really, it seems that all people that can do for themselves don't want handouts, and dont blame everyone but themselves for their problems.

Yeah, I think it’s a lower-class mentality to always blame others for their problems and live off this misplaced anger. These people are really mad at themselves because they were either complete cowards when real-life finally hit and never fully matured or failed once or twice when they finally gained the courage to try true adulthood and ran back to their comfort zone.
In many cases I’ve found that these people actually love where they are. They’ve become accustomed to not trying to better themselves. It’s a really sick cycle to watch. My brother is one of these black guys. 40 years old and never did anything with his life and secretly hoped a woman would take care of him for the rest of his life. He has no education and got his ged in prison. He’s the complete opposite of me. And every chance he gets he talks really bad about how white people did this to him as if white people forced him to smoke weed every day and try to be “cool”. There was a college right down the street from him at all times but he chose his road in life and, at 40, is stuck with it. Everything is always someone’s fault. He’s never the problem. This is a common mentality in lower class.

Personally, I think the whole concept of “your people” is itself a big problem, in no small part because whoever “your” people are, they’ll be the first to betray you. Loyalty that is presumed is the weakest of all.
Nobody killed more Greeks than Alexander, more Romans than other Romans, more Chinese than the Chinese government, more Koreans than Koreans, more whites than white supremacists, more blacks than black supremacists. To say nothing of the eagerness with which it was done.

Ingroup killings are higher because that's who you spend all your life with. Other races and cultures if adjusted by how much contact they actually have with your group are far deadlier. When other races and cultures start getting a proper foothold in your nation you will lose those illusions pretty quickly.

Solidarity no doubt exists, but it is surprisingly fragile and temporary. Enjoyed your clever repurposing of “man is a wolf unto man” :) . It runs into some issues so apples to oranges comparison but, well ignore that for now.
The point still stands, though: since we all spend more time with men than wolves, and since men are deadlier anyhow (human lethality is pretty intense), they’re who we actually need to watch out for.
Take out some of the overheated ethnic elements and think of it this way: car accidents cause far more deaths than terrorism (even in 2001), therefore the everyday person should be far more concerned about fellow motorists than invisible sleeper cells.
Or, to use motor vehicles again: we all tend to ride in cars more than we fly in commercial aircraft, but even taking that contact frequency difference into account, pound for pound, hour for hour, mile for mile, flying commercial is still safer.
Your argument rests on a concept of per capita / per contact lethality. Which is interesting, but I don’t think it holds much water overall unless you play fast and loose with base populations and denominators. I could be wrong though.
Let’s look at it another way: wives betraying their husbands is fine because husbands and wives spend so much time together anyway.
Frequency of contact does not dilute the overall risk, because the lethality is just so darn high.
In both relative and (most importantly) absolute terms, when push comes to shove, the in-group is still more dangerous. All of the in-groups. And not by a little — by a lot. Especially in-groups that have used violence on out-groups — these have a nasty habit of turning the violence inwards.
Ultimately, it comes down to meritocracy: people have to earn the trust they are given; handing it to them automatically by accident of birth is, like hereditary absolute monarchy, a recipe for abuse.

I’m a black man and I agree with this wholeheartedly. I’ve never been considered a Tyrone, so these women were never attractive to me in any capacity. Based on my observations they are highly opinionated, loud, rude, and negative to be around. This woman is apart of the “Abandoned” class of black people but not the mainstream, transcendent (filthy rich) or multi-racial class. So what did you do beyond the romance game? Keep to yourself? Hang out with white kids? And if you did, was that uncomfortable? I kind of wonder these things because one of my best friends growing up was this soft spoken, skinny, bookish black kid that had a lot going for him, but one day abruptly cranked his thug game up to 10. I never really understood why (I seem to remember a girl was involved), because it was absolutely just not him at all. And it ended up having really negative consequences in his life as he tried to "play the part." I still wonder to this day why he went down that path despite being someone with 0 natural disposition toward that kind of image.

@Demiansky it certainly is a delicate balance where you’re grouped with all of the worst traits of people who look like you no matter your position or role in life.
I’m not complaining, as I’m a “pull myself up by the bootstraps” man. When I was younger it was tough because family would push you to pursue these women because they don’t understand the dating market. But then when you do, and they see the hell you go through they either watch from afar with concern while you do battle daily with the fefail. To be a thinking Black man is to go against the grain, and in turn leave the disfunction while simultaneously be called every expletive known to man to shame you.
There is traditional shit test that all men go through and then there is black fefail shaming language such as, “yu black, we black, yo mama black”, and while they shame black men, they don’t “police” other black women from dating outside of their race. It’s a hypocrisy, but know that most black men don’t care if they date out, but they troll black men nonetheless. So imagine dealing with someone who trashed you on a regular basis, if you don’t have “swag”, or “game”, and a prison record and then when you are seen with a woman of another race then their true feelings come out.
So in essence the pressure would feel as if you performed a serious crime, where everyone is aware of it and you all frequent the same location on a daily basis. Or better yet, a great example would be a “heel” wrestler from the pro leagues. Either you like him or you don’t, and in most cases it’s the latter.

That's very interesting, thank you for taking the time to reply. It's also pretty damn depressing. It really makes me think that the average person underestimates what the average black man has to deal with. Yeah, they've got to deal with the traditional prejudice "on the outside" (is that guy who doesn't look like me up to no good?), but then you've got to deal with the "expectations on the inside" as well (why is that guy who is my race NOT behaving like all of the other people who look like us?). I've always said that men now a days are being corralled into a smaller and smaller "box of purpose." That seems doubly so for black men.
As an aside, would you say the kind of pressure you described is class dependent? Have you noticed whether high earning/college educated black women and men have these same attitudes, or is the impulse just to "escape it all"?

Great question, it is class dependent to a degree. If you research the numbers you will see that most black men are in relationships, or married to black women. However, a great many of them are either simps, while the rest belong to the same mindset that I have.
When black women become successful, the traditional hypergamy that every race deals with rears its head but with a twist. She may get married to the well off black man, but there is quite a few (I would say the majority of well off black women) would desire their first love which is white men. Let me explain, she would feel with an increase of income she is closer to white men’s standards of what he’s looking for in the dating market. Remember most white men are not checking for black women. If she cannot get a white man, she will then either A) get a well off simp who she will cheat on with Tyrone, or b) or she will go lesbian/bisexual. Her being with an upstanding black man (not simp) is boring, and not fun. He would display the same characteristics as some of the men in her family that were essentially “redpilled “. She wants to get as far away from that as possible, so it’s not uncommon to see a well off black women with a simp she hates where she desires other races of men, and/or women in lesbian relationships. Versus black men, simp or otherwise was shamed and told to stay within the race because we were sellouts if we did date out.
Most rich black men either come from a traditional nuclear family which is middle class, or they come from the far reaches of the Abandoned class to make something of themselves. The former Abandoned black man, having seen the disfunction and hypocrisy in that class will either A) try to bring along someone from the Abandoned, where the other person does not have an interest in being productive, or B) go outside his race to date. If he performed the first option, he would be considered “bougie” which means he thinks he’s better than the rest (the Abandoned class shows signs of a crab in the barrel mentality). They feel this way because they wish the black man would share their poor position instead of achieving greatness. These people would spread lies and disillusionment to those who would hear, so you cannot stay in the community even if you wanted to. If the Abandoned black man performed the second option, he would be considered a “Uncle Tom” race traitor that deserves a horrible death. Ultimately those black men want to either live in filth or escape it all, but it depends on if he’s a simp or perceived race traitor.
Let’s move over to the non-Abandoned black man, his class insulated him from the popular though which is black culture (rap, weave, clubbing, child support fraud, abortions...you name it). This man attended nice schools, had family that was maybe military, or some other favorable condition. His pressure to marry black women is modest. It would depend on the thoughts of the family, which actually models other races. They don’t really prefer racial mixing with their offspring, but if it happened they will either accept it or not. Most of the rich black men attempted to date the black women in any class, but when he did, he was called “lame”, “weak af”, a “cornball”. There maybe some pressure while he disassociates, but it’s so minor it’s not an issue.

It sure did, and more. I feel like this analysis should be, like, published somewhere for posterity. It really lays out the incentive structure well, and what's really tragic about that incentive structure to me is that it seems to strongly incentivize perverse outcomes. I've heard black men get blamed for all kinds of things when it comes to relationships and family, but there was one thing that stuck out like a sore thumb to me that no one else seemed to ever make a point of: black women rewarding bad behavior while shunning the right kind of behavior. Your observation about upwardly mobile black women going for white men kind of complicates the problem further, because now the women that WOULD be worthwhile for black men "dating within the race" are now out of the dating pool, and all you've got left are mediocre choices who will more than likely make your life miserable. So what you are left with is social pressure to date within the race, but the women that are worthwhile now aren't available.

I want to correct something you mentioned about affirmative action that has to be addressed. The largest recipient of AA has been white women. Couple of things externally and internally. I'm going to generally and broadly compare live in the 50's vs live in the 80's the world RAPIDLY changed. Biggest changes in those years were Welfare certainly didn't help and incentivized having kids out of wedlock. As I understand it, there were household inspections and if a man was found living there benefits were cut. Same goes for no fault divorce and child support. Add in the war on drugs and vietnam war and you have massive numbers of black men getting pulled out of homes/families, coming back from war addicted to drugs, PTSD, disabled, or being sent to prison. COINTELPRO didn't help which targeted the black nationalist movement again heavily focused on black men.
I honestly think institutional racism FORCED the black community to pull together. In the 50's and before, Blacks HAD TO live in certain neighborhoods, HBCU's were created because many regular colleges wouldn't allow blacks in, blacks HAD TO support black owned businesses in some areas because again it was at worst outright dangerous or at best not the greatest experience being around white areas (had to enter the back, sit at the back of the bus, limited service etc..) . Traveling around, especially in the south in small towns, there were places you couldn't go (sundown towns) and again we had to support black hotels/motels. Black women HAD TO date black men almost exclusively back then. Black men HAD TO date black women almost exclusively back then. You look at your mates very differently, I think when you view them as "This is all I have, and we are in this together..."
Please understand in no way, shape, or form am I saying institutional racism was overall a good thing and all we need is a good klan rally... Just saying these are some of the outcomes of it. Sticking together was literally survival, and its US against them and this resulted in black folks getting organized, mobilized to support each other, and so forth.
Obviously, the dating dynamics were way different then, premarital sex, marriage rates, etc...IN GENERAL in that time, but if you look at the major events from before the 50's to the 70's/80's at least when I was born, those were kinda the way it was and the major things that changed: Drugs, vietnam war, the war on drugs, no fault divorce plus child support.
Pull the most productive men out of the community, send them to war or put them in jail, let women go wild without recourse, give women the ability to have kids without recourse, give women the ability to take half a man's shit plus child support and SHE WILL, plus a couple generations of fatherless families and women who don't know what a good man looks like, boys who don't know how to aspire to be a good man, and girls who don't know what a good boyfriend/man looks like and you have a cycle of poverty and broken families.
Bigger question is how the hell do we fix it?
I think the solution is policing black women's behavior, but good fucking luck with that. The worst thing for your social life is to be a young black male is to not be in trouble, not able to dance, focus on playing a sport, getting good grades in school, and speaking proper English, getting a good job, etc... Black women won't touch you 14-24....ask me how I know. They'll be back 50+ pounds heavier in their 30's with a couple of kids I can guarantee you that!

No fault divorce didn't go nationwide until the 1970s. Before that you had to prove one of the four A's: Abuse, abandonment, adultery or addiction. And "abuse" meant "he's beating the shit out of me" or "he's threatening to kill me" or "he raped me", not "he yelled at me" or "he's mean to me sometimes" or "he wants to know what I spend the money on".
And "he raped me" meant "he really raped me, he really had sex with me against my will, I fought like hell to stop him but I couldn't, and I had to go to the hospital because I was hurt so badly", not "I didn't want sex, but I didn't tell him that and yes I agreed to sex", and not "I agreed to have sex with him but I regret it now because it wasn't good sex" or "I was drunk when we had sex".
The other things that hit the black community hard were the Pill, women having sex with whomever they wanted, and maximizing individual freedom. Those aren't limited to the black community, but they hit the black community first.
Educated black women and middle- to upper-middle-class black women are starting to date white men, I think, in part because they think white men are higher status and because they believe white men are more willing to commit. For most men, a hot chick is a hot chick no matter her skin color, so they're not going to refuse to date an attractive black woman simply because she's black. If she's attractive and they're attracted to her, it's game on, for most men.
