Hello,

Looking for advice on how to stop writing paragraphs to specifically men you've been dating a long time or have been in a long term relationship with.

One example is, a few years ago, my first bf was really into me. But about 2 years into the relationship he stopped initiating any communication, texts, dates calls, any effort dropped down to zero, and sometimes he would go three or more days with no communication at all. If you're busy or traveling, you're supposed to tell your gf of two years that you won't be in touch for two or three days! Obviously I communicated with him in person and over the phone. But nothing changed, so I'd write paragraphs to my bf at the time explaining how I felt neglected in the relationship and how much his neglect and behaviour hurt me. He responded with "OK." We had been dating for 2 years

I never write paragraphs to men I've dated for a short while. But it becomes extremely difficult to do so when you are deeply emotionally involved, like when you've been in a relationship for over a year or dating for a really long time. In the moment the cognitive dissonance gets the better of you and you really feel it might make a difference to explain with text paragraphs. But once you're out of the relationship, you realize he didn't care and knew exactly what he was doing. Yes, logically anyone outside the relationship could see that the best thing to do is to just say "this is not working for anymore, I'm not happy, let's break up, " and leave the relationship immediately. It's better than writing paragraphs.

Seriously how do you discipline yourself to NOT write paragraphs to men you've been with long term. This is easier said than done in long term relationships.
