43-year-old, married for 18 years, one kid starting high school next year. Lurker here looking for some advice. Found TRP and MRP about a year and half ago, started lifting and reading sidebar with success, but I’ve regressed back to anger mode lately. Feel like I wasted some prime years, and I don’t want that happening going forward.

SEX There is very little. Dead bedroom due mostly to wife’s chronic auto immune disease and other physical ailments make sex difficult for her. She’ll offer blow jobs and hand jobs a few times a month (feels very transactional), but my craving/need to pound pussy is strong. She has complimented my gains, but that won’t cure her ailments. Not her fault but I married a sick person, and now she is dependent on me.

We moved from an economically dead metro to a more alive one a few years ago. I moved first having a studio apt for several months, and the freedom was incredible. Pounded some strange at that time for the first time in my marriage, and the affair really made me realize what I was missing. Now I’m always semi-open to side action, but that’s another subject. Do any of you guys have a spouse will physical ailments? How is sex handled?

CAREER I feel I don’t make enough ($75k/yr). My time in the dead metro area did not prepare me for the new real world where I feel like Rip Van Winkle. It feels like overnight I’m surrounded by millennials, and especially women that are racing on the career ladder past me. It seems that at this point in our culture that women in leadership roles can do no wrong. I’m the demographic (white, 40 something male) that they love to hate. Recently, I was the only male on a short list for an opening I didn’t get. It seems that if two candidates are equal in experience etc. that they will hire the woman nowadays because it looks better. Am I right on this or full of shit? My job is stable- what do some of you 40 somethings do for a side business or extra income?

SOCIAL LIFE This is a problematic area for me. I’ve always only had a handful of friends, and I’m ok with long periods between socializing. After the move a few years ago I’ve made no new friends outside of the occasional acquaintance work related happy hour and school related events. I abhor social media, generally introverted, and maybe I just don’t give a fuck, but what do you do to meet people when you’re at this stage in life? I need a hobby besides working out- any ideas for low cost, semi social manly hobbies?
