Yes, it gets worse before it gets better.

It's like an oscilloscope graph with the amplitude getting bigger and bigger in the beginning. The bitchiness over your newfound independence gets worse and worse; you're such an asshole, yadda yadda. But it is interspersed with ever greater showings of her feminine and/or sexy side too.

Eventually you get to the main event, which is a period of constant nuclear level shit testing. That's the alpha exam; pass that, and it is smooth sailing.

Yes, it gets worse before it gets better. You reward the behavior that you want to see more of, and you don't reward the behavior you'd like to see less of.

She summoned you, and you didn't respond to her. You discouraged the bad behavior. Now she's behaving like a spoiled brat, and you're trying to discourage that behavior as well.

It might be easier if you did something productive with your time instead of just resisting blowing up at her. So, what else could you be doing with your time? Walk the dog? Go lift? Make yourself a sandwich?

I guess it depends on how much of a bumbling idiot you've turned into. If you are competent but just not taking charge she might enjoy having power taken away from her. If she doesn't trust you and thinks you'll fuck shit up, yeah it'll get worse first.

It gets worse before it get's better, and then it becomes the shit below, but caution, not everyone can hold frame so build up to what I write as my reactions below to her shit-

So my wife screams @ me "No one is having sex with me or body again, and I am moving the fuck out !! I am just not feeling any of this any more."

I yawn and tell her, "Ok, you can stop having sex, but I won't, and you aren't moving out until the 12 year old is 18. And, I am not feeling it either, as in the the ass of the potted plant you have become, in the corner" I laugh with her storming off.

Five days later, I am hauling ass across the state to get to an appointment, text comes through, "I am tired of the disrespect in this family, and it starts with you. Kids are disrespectful and it's from you. I am moving out"
