We went on a holiday a few weeks ago. Got bikes for my wife and I and mine had the tag along trailer at the back for the kids.

They went in it twice and LOVED it. On the trip I said "we will get some bikes and a trailer when we get home". My wife said "good idea".

Today I tell her I'm going to look at bikes and a trailer. "Don't buy me a bike. Amy (oldest daughter) also doesn't want one!!!".

WTF?

I did STFU really well, didn't step into her frame or argue but man what the hell is going on? The sudden change to a strong "no" and the hamster causing her to want to argue over this.

"We have no space for bikes" was what she also said. We have a monster sized garage with ample space.

Then an hour later she's messaging me like nothing happened and that she wasn't a crazy bi polar bitch.

Pretty proud I didn't engage but seems like she was trying to control the decision and have a stupid argument but when I didn't back down I think she was confused.

I went ahead and took my daughter to the bike store and had a look anyway of course. Fun morning except her weird reaction.
