I hope you guys don't mind me sticking around, me being single, now. I feel that MRP is more "right down to business" than TRP, lately.

Those that were lucky enough to skip over my victim puke, short background-

Hurt my shoulder late last year at work. Specifically my AC joint. There's some arthritis in it, and loss of cartilage.

I continue to do therapy exercises daily, and it felt well enough to start lifting a few months ago. Feels about 85% of pre injury, 90% on a good day.

I've been lifting 4-5x a week since then. Mostly slightly modified SL 5x5, with a few other exercises added in like close grip bench presses and curls.

I feel that I've hit a plateau with some of my exercises, though. I can bench 120lbs with no issue. My muscles beg me to put more weight on. But as soon as I even put 5 more pounds on, my shoulder starts to hurt and I lose form trying to compensate. Usually on the second set, but sometimes even the first.

Overhead press is by far my biggest obstacle. I've given up on them completely. Any significant amount of weight is pure torture. I've read that this is common with AC joint injuries.

Any suggestions to help work around, and not further provoke my injury? Alternatives to OH presses? My shoulder will probably never be 100% again, so I'd like to make lifting as easy on it as I can.
