I'm actually doing my placement now which is basically a work integrated course that you need to do before you graduate, which involves working on a project in a real engineering office.

The vibe in this office is the most depressing shit to me. Everyone is stressed and everyone stays overtime because they are always behind schedule. Every guy in there has 0 life outside of their job and they're all growing man boobs in their 20s and 30s.

I actually got very good grades, and I enjoy problem solving to an extent, but being this miserable in your life for the sake of a bit of money seems so fuxking dumb to me. The problem is I started university when I was 18 and all I thought about was the money I could make from a challenging degree. My brain has changed since and it's something I simply don't care for anymore. Now I am an empty shell because I've invested 4 years of my life into something I have 0 passion for. I am literally forcing myself through this placement so I at least have a degree to my name. But I am honestly at one of the lowest points of my life.

What do I do. I don't even know what I am passionate for anymore. It feels like I've cucked myself into this lifestyle and I have no other options.

If there are any young guys who are thinking of going to college/university, make sure u know what you're getting yourself into, and most importantly choose something that makes u happy and fuck what other people think. I also had the misconception that "oh maybe later on I'll learn to enjoy it", no u fucking won't.
