Man has become weak through modernization. Even so called straight laced, blue collar men are slaves to alcohol, caffeine, sugar, and nicotine. I'm in the same boat as you and I don't know the answer to be honest. I figure I can make friends who are into fitness/working out because that is where you will find people who are into self improvement but I haven't made any efforts yet.

Drugs have a time and place. Don't be friends with addicts for obvious reasons. Recreational use, however, can have very positive effects on the lives of some people.

If you are 100% against it though, and people don't accept you for that, then they are definitely not worth any more of your fucken time. Try looking for new friends in other places.

Definitely a sign of the times. Remember about 20 years ago (if you're old enough) how drugs were seen as the devil? But now there is a lot of advocacy for "moderate" use. I honestly don't feel comfortable with it. I really believe most drug use is a sign of some underlying issues or problems within the person. I have witnessed people take stuff like the so called "safe" and "enlightening" psychedelics and they didn't act right and sometimes were flat out uncomfortable to be around. Nevertheless, just don't closely associate with that crowd if you're not down with it.

i had the same problem. drop people who can't live their life without frequently doing drugs. if you're still doing drugs frequently out of college its kind of a joke.

I have a solution for you. You need to find a social hobby. I made a lot of friends through Martial Arts, Motocross and the Gym. The point is, find people that have common interests. Then you go out with those people and form relationships. Follow up, but don't over pursuit. Remember that men also shit test men, nobody wants to be friends with a loser. Also if you are going to go to clubs and party hard there is no way your not going to do drugs, simply because drugs are awesome and they make everything much better. And honestly, learn to be alone

Man, cut them off. If they are not taking drugs for medical reasons then there is no point having them in your life. If they have issues and they are not dealing with them, then you are in the bucket with the rest of the crabs.

Most social groups drink a lot too, and that's a drug at least as hard as coke, and way harder than pot.

In my experience, most people don't really care if you don't want to take anything, and either you're unlucky with your choice of social groups, or you are just projecting your own negative feelings onto them.
