Look to the military. Plenty of hard charging go getters who protect the weak and resoect others. You have guys like Rudy Reyes, Jocko willink, Leif Babin, Patrick Macnamara etc etc. That's the closest you'll get.

That depends on what you are looking for. There are various types of alpha males, and pretty much any of the successful people embody some of these traits. Some act more relatable while other act as the strong, cold type. But anyways here are my thoughts:

If you want someone that is able to dominate their adversaries and not afraid to speak their own mind: Donald Trump
If you want the visionary leader who can completely make the masses buy into his ideas: Steve Jobs
If you want the competent leader who is not afraid to make controversial decisions for the greater good: Xi Jinping or (while I know not a male but one woman I truly admire and she embodies many masculine traits) Merkel;
If you want the ultimate seducer who could sway crowds of women and despite his reputation as a player, no woman ever said something bad of him: Elvis Presley (granted he had the voice and the looks but even his little gestures are so seductive);
If you are looking for the strong silent type, you would probably want to look at action movie actors. I was shitting on another comment in this thread saying that Jason Statham is an example, but truth is, there are good lessons to be learn from him. My personal favorite example is Clint Eastwood though;
If you want the suave cold, but seductive gentleman then probably Sean Connery as James Bond or Humphrey Bogart is what you're looking for;
If you want the glamorous playboy rockstar personality then probably Gene Simmons or Mick Jagger are for you;
If you want to see the embodiment of the dark triad with real examples, I say James Gandolfini portrays that the best in the role of Tony Soprano.
